Im after a set of hubcentric spacers for my car. its lowered on Eibach Sportlines and the wheels are 7.5j as far as I know.

Is there anyone in yorkshire who could measure it up for me and tell me what size spacers are needed and also anyone reliable who can fit them for me?

Additionally, anything I have to watch out for when going down the spacers route?

All help appreciated in advance.

To start off with we need to know the offset of the wheel

I would probably go for 10 or 15. Just be aware that if you space out too much while on springs, there will be alot of scratching against the inside of the fender, when driving around with a couple of friends. Thats not dangerous but its a bit irritating and to me it sounds a bit cheap, at least i felt so.

12mm rear and 10mm front will be perfect.

Fit them yourself! If you can remove a wheel you can fit spacers...

I have 11mm all round on mine which seems okay and looks good ;)

Ive got 18" speedlines what spacers would i need. :scared2:

would you say the hubcentric spacers or the universal?

Hi Guys

I am looking at lowering my a3 s line tdi 170 3 door. i have the 18" rotor arm replicas 18x8.0J on 225 40 18 tyres with PCD 5x12 offset 45
C/B 66.45. Would it be ok to lower it with eibach sportlines 45-50mm ? and also what size spacers should i use on front and back for that aggressive look when lowered. Your feedback would be much appreciated.

12mm rear would take the effective offset down to 33 on the rear. Wouldn't that rub if using 225/40/18 wheels and lowered using the Sportlines?

Always hubcentric when possible!

does anybody know what the thickest non-hub centric spacers are that can be used safely?

As above, 10mm front and 12mm rear unless you like rubbage. From a safety point of view I'm running 25mm all round on my modded MK2 golf without any issues. I hear some people are running 30mm but think wheel bearings may well suffer.

A spacer is only a lump of metal but make sure you get the right length bolts.

I have a set 10mm front and 16mm rear with bolts and security bolts up for grabs if your interested?
