Hi,

I recently bought Aero Wiper arms from a local breakers and fitted them to my B6.

I also bought new Aero blades from my local audi dealer. The wipers look so much better but were only silent for about 5 mins of driving in the rain, then thump everytime the blade changes direction :((

I have thoroughly cleaned the windscreen to make sure there is no traffic film or build up causing it but it still continues.

Its driving me mad, i have to either keep the wipers off or turn the music up.

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong? Dodgy blades from the dealer maybe?

My brand new Audi £36 quid are also doing my head in 2month old :scared2:

Thanks guys, ill try the white spirit trick in the morning. This is my 3rd B6 A4, ive had the aero conversion on them all but these blades are just too noisy....i cant bear it!

If the white spirit trick doesnt work i shall head to my local dealer again to have the blades exchanged for another set.

And to think i chose the genuine audi blades to avoid the noisy bosch ones lol

Mine does that too at low speed, not a sound at 50mph+ but round town it would drive you mental! I thought the wiper motor was worn. Feel ur pain it's as irritating as Justin Beiber... Will try that white spirit trick... While talking about wipers why oh why is it so damn awkward to adjust the jets?? I must have went through 5 gallon of water trying to stop the jets squirting over the roof!!

Had the same problems myself. Then got some valeo silencio xtreme blades and they work a treat! Quiet wipers all the time

I think they are for standard arms with adapters not the weird block fit version on original aeros

no guys you can get oe fit ones with the wierd slide back clip on them. expensive yes but the best ive had and no noise what so ever.

I believe the part number for these to be VM303 but dont quote me on that it was 3 months ago when i bought them.

I looked the other day at these Valeo ones based on what someone said in a nother recnt thread and I came up with VM 303 They're on eBay and cheaper then replacement aero wipers from the dealer or halfords (my friend got some from there and has regretted it ever since!)

Here's the link

Just bought some of these valeo blades to replace mine. We will see I guess

Got mine yesterday eve and fitted. They are good quality and quiet so far........thanks for the tip

I bought some genuine ones today (from eBay, cheaper then dealer by miles) as I read a review where the OEM ones were placed first, then halfords, then these special Valeo ones. But by the sound of it, it was a close run thing.

Mine are skipping like mad and I've tried everything I can think of to sort them out, so I think they must be perished (despite not really looking like they are?!)
