DTUK experiences?

I wold recommend that you tray all of the maps on zero, then mve upto plus 1, then move upto plus 2.

if its too high, you may see an engine management light..

We're running an unofficial group buy at present with some additional discount on our crdt systems, so if you're looking to tune your 2.0 or 3.0 TDi common rail, then drop me a pm.

all received, thanks Andrew.

now the wait to get the car :)

The unofficial (price not to be mentioned publically lol) Group buy is still live on the DTUK CRD-T :)

Ive just added one to our 245PS Q7, on top of this weve added a pedal box and it ruddy flies :)

If anyone is interested, then please drop me a pm

Which map do you recommend running for the 245PS model btw? I'm thinking 3 and starting with 0 with the potential to go to +1 or +2 if needed but don't know if another would be better?

I'd try 1 and 2 first on zero then plus 1. Ive been running 1 on plus 2 thus week

I'm trying map 3 + 10% seems smoother at low revs than the map 2 + 20% I was running last week.
After searching for hours I found some info on the different maps and the graphs that come with the installation instructions. Might be worth including some info on your website/instructions as I kept coming across people asking the same thing. I think that map 3 has the same fuelling as map 1 but more boost I'd this correct?

The red curves represent the additional fuelling, the yellow is the boost.

Cheers Andrew I had it the wrong way round ;-) I'll give it a week on map 3 then try map 1.

Delighted with the box so far.

Actually, some additional info attached to the graphs might be good. I was thinking that the yellow trace was the original fuelling level and the red was the increased level on each map, totally forgetting that it plugs into the boost sensor too... :)

Cheers for the extra info Andrew!

I had a chat with Andrew yesterday and im seriously considering this instead of a re-map,i have been pussy footing around for a while now thinking about a re-map but the tunning box is swaying me due to no ECU removal, different options within the unit, easy to fit and remove with no traceability and that i can also move the box to another car (with a few mods) or sell on if i sell my car.
I am interested to hear any reviews comments from owners with the unit already fitted.

i had one on my old Astra CDTi 150 and the transformation was great, this was going back 4-5years now so theres a whole new range of boxes out, but i already have one for my new a4 which is being delivered on thursday and can't wait to get it on.

andrew is always really helpfull if you have any problem or any issues he want to help you get anything sorted.

Cheers Tom, I do try my best and hate to hear from unhappy customers

Well this arrived today

Thanks to Andrew for the advice on fitting through the passenger inner arch, in the end this is going to be quite convenient as this happened 5 miles after picking it up from the post office:

Didn't think they were that bad, got a 5mm indented ridge right on the corner of the sidewall. Rears have tons of use so I'm going to sling a replacement pair on the front and see how it feels before doing all four.

How did you fit it through the arch? Im having a dilema on where to fit mine!!

You wont find better customer services anywhere else than DTUK. I've never heard of a car not producing what they've quoted

Haven't done it yet, limited time today due to DIY promises. Managed to do a quick vacuum of the car, clean the punctured wheel, order the tyres and have a quick look at the install instructions (plus finish tiling the downstairs toilet). All that needs to go through the arch is a hand to fit the plug on, looking at the rest of the unit it has enough cable to be mounted anywhere in the engine bay. I'm thinking some velcro stuck to the bulkhead will allow for quick removal if it needs servicing or work.

Well the car has now done 700 miles and I couldn't resist putting the box on any longer so I set it on map 1 +/- 0 so it isn't over the top until I hit a few more miles. What a massive difference it makes! The old oil burner managed to keep up with a stage 1 map (320bhp) S3 until illegal speeds so that is good enough for me. Can't wait to push it to +1 or +2 and try some other maps.

100% satisfied and really easy to install, just need to find a slightly better place to position the box now! :)

Sounds like you're having fun Dan :) maps 1 and 2 should take plus 2 , 3 and 4 I'd not go above plus 1 on those 2

Cool, thanks for that Andrew! I tried map three and it comes in just a little havy for my liking, so far number one is best for me I think so I might just keep turning it up when I get bored. ;)

Ilim, we need to head to Crail some time... ;)

Well e-tyres have been this morning so I took the opportunity to fit the box. Nice and simple to install, hardest part was getting the box screws out to change the map, they were in very tight. Not had chance to test yet, nor sort out a permanent home under the bonnet for the box.

Who did your remap? My ECU required removal and remapping directly to the pins. As soon as you try to flash the ECU via the OBDI port it wiped the ECU!!!!!!!! That was with a REVO map

I've had very bad experiences with Revo and would never use them again.

A friend of mine remap's for a living. He used Kess V2 on my car to read the ECU and crack it, then uploaded a new map!!

We use it on my Evo loads to change boost and fuel for different times of the year and for different tracks to make the car asa quick as possible.

The kit cost about £5K!!!

Hi Andy, was my pleasure :)

Look forward to reading your feedback in the future

Hi Andrew/dtuk

Spoke last week. Just wanted to ask if I fit your box on the 204 a7 sportback 3.0 tdi quattro..and run it for max performance what increase am I looking at for bhp and torque. Also, can't remember if I asked or not, but will I get any exhaust issues (i.e. smoke). Plus can I call you direct and still get the Audi-net discount. Cars not here till Wednesday and will be 0 miles . Do I have to run it in ? Or can I fit straight away . Cheers dude. Anything else u guys do for this car? Got a feeling I'm going to end going all out on this car. Thx again

You won't see any smoke as you have a dpf, I have 1 kit left at the group buy price

I'm having a word with our suppliers and seeing if I can source some stock with additional support again in the future . Ill be in touch, as I have something I wouldn't mind your feedback on ;)

I can verify lack of smoke, it was one of my concerns, but now it's getting darker I can't see any in car headlights.

Liking the one map I've tried so far, not had any luck with the mpg claims so far, typically 2-3mpg down, no big deal. Next week I'll try a more aggressive map but I spend a lot of time at motorway speeds so might end up while I started.

Boy racer Astra shifted out of the way quick enough tonight :)

This made me laugh because I had a boy racer Astra VXR previous to the A4. :)

Amazing that the A4 is as fast if not faster actually. Definitely quicker off the line! ;)

It wasn't a VXR, one of the things that made me buy the box to start with was a dual carriageway meeting between me and a VXR and me being disappointed I wasn't catching him (wasn't falling behind either).

I'm interested... Want to PM me with some details? ;)

Reet, I take it back about the mpg. Am on Map 1 (not zero, d'oh) +2 and am getting improved mpg. Not quite sure why. Getting about 5mpg more at best so far.

Same here getting more MPG i have had a look at my trip computer,i have never reset the overall figure since ive had the car and for the last couple of years its read 40.3MPG,i fitted the box last Sunday, yesterday i thought i would have a quick look at the overall MPG it has now risen to 40.9MPG so either the box is tricking the ECU MPG output some how or my MPG is actually rising:arco:

Dan,

I maybe in touch tomorrow regarding our pms, I think you'll be rather impressed with this little gadget ;)
