New S3 2013

That's painfully ugly. Where are the side skirts? Come on Audi

Bin the wheels and I love it! Looks good, and if it lives up to the review, goes great. The new a3 is still to grow on me, but this I like. I might be able to afford one in 5 years or so.

Wheels are rancid! Interior and dials are lush tho! and quad pipes much better. If only I could afford one :ermm:

Guide price €38900 in Germany. Accounting for current exchange rate and MSWT that would make a UK OTR price of around £32600, before options of course

Wheels are gay; how they don't even look like 18's.

Interior is OK (like the seats, not so sure on dash).

At least engine has near 300bhp rather than the originally quoted 272bhp you get in TT-S.

Does no one else think (exc. the 4 pipes) it's still a touch TOO S-Line?

It certainly reads very well and a weight saving of 60 bags of sugar can't be anything but good for performance, handling and economy....glad they are sticking with a manual gearbox ( for those of us who don't want to loose that skill ! ), but the styling is very bland.......I just hope they make it in the four door saloon variant that has been at all the shows......then you're talking !!

I can't believe how s**t that looks!
Thumbs up for the headlights, seats & steering wheel..
As for the rest.......:puke2:
I'm glad in a way tho as it should keep the 2nd hand price of my 8P3 up for a while longer :)

Yep i was squinting for the S badge looks way too S line, there's a difference between subtlty and looking the part, they got it spot on for the year when the 8LS3 was launched, but i feel are losing their way ever since.

Saying that 60kg off the weight of the car is great and some interesting innovations on the exhaust manifold.
Some nice research on different fuelling techniques different alloys for the block, hope they dont chuck a crappy plastic inlet on the engine suffocating it? And the same with the downpipe

lol and no BBS alloys? What's up with them? :)

Hopefully the RNS-E or equivalent unit will have a much improved CPU also. Considering my car is 2009 i felt the maps and mp3 navigation etc are slow and very dated.

Seats look nice, Interior isnt too bad overall actually, the rest is growing on me.

whoever disagree with the S3 looks should see his missus without a make up and then make a judgement.:doctor:. Either way both matters whats inside not outside I presume haha!

my 11 unit is very easy to live with quick and smooth:p. Love the sound and 300bhp of the new S3:p

Oh crap that's interesting, hmm time for an upgrade on top of my other upgrades best not tell the wife..

I like the output figures, the weight reduction, and the interior looks really classy!

I also like the look of the back of the car, and I think the quad tailpipes are long over due.

I like the front splitter, but I'm not so sure about the new DRL's - I think the current S3 DRL's are better.

Does anyone know if they're planning on releasing a new RS3 based on this new model?

CURRENT S3 LOOKS SO MUCH MEANER! THIS LOOKS LIKE A GIRLY RUN AROUND BUT STYLING IS NICEI GUESS BUT A LITTLE ALONG THE LINES OF AN A1. I WOULD HARDLY GET WORRIED IF THAT WAS BEHIND.

I GUESS ITS ONE OF THOSE SHAPES THAT WILL GROW ON YOU OVER TIME

LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING AN RS VERSION WITH SIDE SKIRTS

This thread is in the wrong place. It should be in the A3 8V forum.

Yes yes yes!!! Can't wait!!!

Exhaust sounds immense, I'll need to see the 8V in the skin to be convinced though...

It looks MORE S-Line than the last one!

They got the exhaust right, but the rest of the rear looks too high up. The wheels are terrible, and the interior still has a lot of growing on me to do. I really don't like the Volvo style pop-up screen, and the a/c looks like a Pioneer head unit. The S5-ish seats I do like.

Just doesn't look like anything special at all, until it passes you and you see the pipes. I know Audis are meant to be understated, but there is a difference between understated and indistinguishable.

The downpipe is shocking on our S3; hugely restrictive.

Left is aftermarket, right is OEM. Nuff said!

I couldn't quite believe it when I took my OEM downpipe off - my initial reaction was something like "what the hell has happened to this - have I managed to drive over a hammer, suck it up into my engine bay and then have it repeatedly bray the crap out of my downpipe?? Oh, it's meant to look like that is it? Right."
