I know I've just PM'd you NHN, but deciding whether or not to buy a car right now and need some advice!

Basically, comes without Bluetooth or AMI, but I'd really prefer them. Dealer has quoted £840 for fitting both, does that sound about right? Can I get the parts and fitted for less if I do it myself (looking at you, NHN?)

Thanks guys, I'd normally wait but I need to make a decision, lol!

£840 seems good to me although i'm surprised the dealer is willing to help with this. When I asked them they didn't want to get involved. NHN is your man to ask, he fitted both AMI and Bluetooth in my car along with RNS-E and I can't fault his work.

Apparently, they source the parts and use an external company to come in and fit them?

Deposit has gone down on it now! Just need to decide if and how I go for the Bluetooth/AMI options. I'm sure NHN will be around soon :)

Price doesn't seem too bad. Just make sure that you ask your dealer who the installation company are (You can then research them on the internet). If the parts are genuine Audi parts and if they are brand new or reconditioned. What warranty etc you will be getting with the parts.

Just so you know...

These are our prices that we charge for the parts and then there is usually installation on top... Good idea on how their prices are worked out.

NHN is a top guy and has helped a lot of people out on the forum with their cars. If he's busy or you would like any additional help then get in touch!

Sorry mate, I will get back to you shortly, on it, sorry for delay :)

Ha, don't fret Nigel mate. To be honest its all gone Pete Tongue now. I won't name names or dealers but basically its come to light that over the last couple of months, the dealer has been telling me the wrong figures, finance wise, when talking about a new car. So the car I've budgeted for, the value they said that I could afford on more than 2 or 2 occassions, is now not that.

Gutted to say the least, as I've been insanely excited about getting an S3.

:(

I've no idea, I mean the difference is big, Eight Grand big.

I need to ring them today and let them know they need to give me my £1000 deposit back, if I'm still ****** off after that I'll name'n'shame.

So, I'm glad I didn't name and shame ;) After a long conversation with the chap at the Dealer, we've managed to come to an amicable Finance agreement :) So, watch this space!

(Nigel, its still coming without AMI though!)
