Problem dsg a3

Basically I was in the car park waiting for someone with car off and radio on when they left I tried to turn on the car and it was just hiss hiss hisk hisk sound came up with 'particular filter' tried again and again 'esp fault check owners manual' then 'low battery' so waited a hour for mate to come to jump start it and it worked, steering light was on same with ESP. Then started driving went away.


the problem i had was in neutral or park it would go red line, this happend yesterday. today i tried to red line in neutral it doesnt red line but stays 3k and doesnt hold it bouncing up and down from 2 and half between 3. even when foot is all the down?

what could be causing the rev counter not to stick to 3k revs even when launch control it doesnt stick it goes up and down with foot planted on floor.

well the esp fault check oweners manual and the steering light comes on when you discconect the battery.
Not sure about the redlining in neutral

Fro memory, car does not redline in N or P. Safety issue to protect engine.

yes it never used to redline in N or P but now it does after the battery went flat.

if i remember correctly if u turn esp off it should redline in P&N so id say try turning off n on. may be bit confussed, if not id say get car scanned as its clearly not right.

Before battery went it did come up with ESP fault but none of the errors has come up. Also day before it happens I help jump start a car? I heard that automatic shouldn't jump start other cars?

Am I wrong?

i dont know mate, i believe theres dif ways to jumping cars as manufacters add points where to place jump leads ect, instead of directly on battery, cant see jumping car doing it, although does sound electronic fault

yeah true but if there was some sort of fault it would come up on the dash? Weird isnt ill try get car read using VCDS.

yes usually u would get esp light on and maybe brake warning light, try get car scanned and post results
