S3 v TT help please :)

As much as I agree with getting an S3 because there an awesome car and practical, Rich's TT looks sweet, but I wouldn't have one.

Evening all iv been busy as of late so havent been frequenting asn as i normally do :)

So i thought an update on the situ was in aid of. So i have lost thy battle :( but won in the over all outcome, because a mini cooper s got thrown into the mix due to them being cheap!

Wev got our eye on a black 52plate 225, and with the funds at the ready i think a purchase will be happening this week/weekend, wether it be this one or another.

So my shopping list will be getting wrote and a quote from niki @ r-tech.

I honestly think you will be dissapointed in the cooper, once the novelty wears out, they are really boring heavy wannabees...
My Mrs has one and even she is bored of it!!

mini cooper s has LOADS of problems if its the R53 supercharged one, PAS pumps dying without warning, £600+ to fix, anything engine related means lower subframe out basically

and yeh they're a bit gay lol

i REALLY like the TT dashboard, but the S3 is less common and more awesome

I read on google, if you drive a tt or cooper for a couple of weeks, your manhood starts
to drop off and you develop manits and a mangina. It happens, be warned!!

Ha your warnings and critisisms are noted but like i say its the better of two evils.

I just want a 1.8t vag again and its a shame its in the form of a tt, i would prefer the s3.

Neither the s3 or tt come close to a 200+bhp fwd A3 tho :)
 
But think what would have to be done to that a3 to get 200bhp+.. Spend the same money on an s3 or TT then it would be a monster!
 
Stage one map on an aum would see 200and abit bhp, much better than a stage one s3 or tt :) now a cupra r would be a diffrent kettle of fish!
 
So iv bought a TT, yes my homosexuality has been noted, and a subscription of testosterone tablets have been ordered lol.

So ill be introducing the car in the tt section with full spec, all il say is its nice very nice and very cheap for what it has :)

Ha yeh its got a reported 255bhp, and it does feel like its got some poke in it, but a trip to r-tech is in need off when i get paid, and a badger 5 tip :)

Yeh its got a 3" cat back exhaust, jetex and 007p, aswell as koni coilovers and some nice rubber. I need to race someone now lol
 
We know a lad round our area with a TT, he's put a fair bit of effort in it to make it stand out, but he is either known as posh boy, or girl pants!!

Stand up to your mrs and tell her ur not driving a f*cking TT, its not fun for you, and you dont walk like john wayne! Or do u? haha

Haha yeh iv bought one, but i have a company car that i drive all week, so itl be weekends for me, and i already get called sheila on a sunday ;)

And i got it at a steal, comes with alot of mods so its cheaper than buying an s3 and putting all the bits on i wanted.

And i take it they drive very similar with koni coils.
 
tbh mate it does look smart, stance looks good too. i'l just stick with my s3's :)

Thanks dude, yeh if it was just upto me then an s3 would of been my choice before the tt, buy im just happy to have something with a 1.8t in it lol.
 
Now if you were to mention you were thinking on getting either a TTS/RS I think many would be congratulating the OP. Funny old world.:haha:

are they not 16'' audi wheels? been searching for a6 17'' wheels and cant find none like that, only found some in 16''

out of interest, which is heavier? S3 or TT? i've wondered but can find nothing concrete on it all
 
Not much in it with the coupe but the convertable is heavier for sure...

Nope 17" dude, thats what the tyres say anyway. I cant seem to find them either, theyv got a big lip round the edge, and the tyres look quite stretched and far from the edge.
 
they actually look like the audi competition wheels which are normally polished.. which would be 17''.. suit it tho :)

A6 wheels are a different PCD so wouldnt fit a TT, unless its on adaptors?

There is a TT version of the same wheel though?

Yeh the description was A6 17", and the profile says 17", but they could be off a diffrent car, il get some close ups of the rims. There was no mention of adapters.

And thanks, i liked them when we 1st got the car, and i love them now, was thinking about getting some diffrent rims as iv always been a 18+" (wheel ;) )man :D but i think these really suit the car and even more so when its slammed, oh and worth the refurb costs when the mrs enevatbly trashs them :(
