Seems to be lots of boost deviation in the midrange.

Have you checked for boost leaks?

I did but the first time the tester popped off ( scared the **** out of me ) the second time the compressor kicked on (scared the **** out of me) .....I have a tiny pancake compressor and it's to loud to hear any leaks with that damn compressor on..... Should I just keep it running and not listen instead spray soapy water everywhere?

Graphs are very small on my laptop screen, but beyond 2,850rpm boost never seems to get anywhere near what the car is requesting (looks about 3psi under on average).

I know some people with N75 valves on 1.8T's had issues with the valve itself, and leaks in the hoses around them where jubilee clips had been overtightened, so my first port of call would be to check there and the DV.

Fill the compressor tank, then shut the power off so the motor doesnt kick in.

My compressor is only 10L and theres enough air in there to do a decent boost leak test 2 or 3 times before it needs refilled.

My compressor has .39 cfm and is 3.7 liters (1gallon) = the smallest cheapest compressor on the planet...... Will this work?

Thanks for this I will look into it :beerchug:

You'll probably get one go.

Most compressors fill the tank to about 100psi, but the pump will kick in when it drops to 80 or 90.

Theres still plenty air left in it at that point, its just trying to top itself back up.

So let it charge up to maximum pressure, then turn off the power and use the stored air.

Thanks will do ....but I'm going to get a bigger one anyway
