Popped up to the Porsche Classics at the Castle show today at Hedingham Castle (Essex) and used the opportunity for a bit more practice behind the lens.

I took loads today, as always I could handpick a select few that I think are ok, the light went this afternoon too which is always a pain for this type of stuff I find.

Anyway, here's a few...all comments and advice welcome!! :)

Lovely photos; adore the old RSR in Gulf blue, one of my favourites!

Fantastic pics once again Nick. :) x

Thanks guys! It was a day of drooling over some fine machinery! And that RSR was awesome, rare to see one let alone a whole line of them!

I'm loving your work Nick, stunning again. :icon_thumright:
Nothing to add apart from i'd be very happy if i took them.
If you don't mind me asking, what mode was you using...... Av?

Cheers Spooky!

Yes, I was using Av yesterday, I find it quite easy especially when I'm needing to a quick photo. Would you use the same or something else?

I'm still about Nath mate! But yeah I got rid of the 8P, flirted with a BMW, then a Jag, then picked up an 8L which was a bargain I couldn't resist and it's proven a good station runner for now.

You know me though, won't be long before I get itchy feet again!

Hows tricks?

It depends on the subject what mode i use and how much time i have to take it.

Time being the main factor, a flower isn't going to run away, but if its cars moving like you have taken, it will depend if the cars will come back around again to give you more than one chance to get the pic right.

Taking the above into consideration, the more time i have and chances, id have done the same as you and play around in Av... plus id have a little play on Tv mode as well. (shutter speed)

...and what i tend to do if not fully conferdent with M mode, i put it on Auto and point where im going to take a photo, then take the main settings and put then into M mode, so it gives me a starting point and change (have a play) with one setting at a time.
