it was a totally random choice from me, and a gamble, but it was good. similar place to turkey and egypt.
typical poor eastern/african country, but the hotel itself (4 star iberostar) was good standard, failry modern, well finished, big, good facilities, and good food.
downsides:
muslim country so no bacon and sausage with my eggs for breakfast!!! ahhhh
resort wasnt great without a big trek to the harbour, where its fairly run down and typical of that type of country.
sea swarming with jellyfish on rougher days
people are quite miserable, the odd blokes were a good laugh (seems women arent allowed to work there apart from cleaning, lol)

good points:
40 degrees pretty much allll the time. *** sahara innit
only 3 hours away
GMT time zone
sterling is strong there
they were mental for watersports
and like i say, the hotel is spot on really.

downer of the holiday, i did this to my watch:

thats a bit of a pita young karl!
i take it you never bought that off a "looky looky" man off the beach then you flash git?
you could always claim off your holiday insurance dude!
pool looks nice, glad you had a good time, if you dont count the lack of bacon or watch issue!
anywhere is better than blighty i reckon!

Want nothing to do with Scousers, yet you have a 'Boss' watch...

Looks like a nice place for a holiday though Karlos, definitely a shame about the bacon though.

wait wait WAIT ! NO BACON.... that's the worst and i mean the worst! how is one's perfect man body supposed to cope with this tragic new :(

pictures look awesome! and its a ****ter about the watch

wtf does a hugo boss watch have to do with scousers?!?

could i really claim that on holiday insurance?
i was thinking of going to a watch specialist and getting a new screen put in and just touching up the bezzle.
i am reaaaalllly gutted, i got that for my 21st and i've kept it immaculate for over 3 years, not a single mark on it, and now that!

Come on Karlos, you know that to scousers everything is 'Boss' (as in 'dat's dead Boss dat'..)

Afternoon folks.

Popped in as I have a spare 5 minutes.

Today has been spent playing with the release edition of Windows 8 Pro - YUK - unless you have a tablet.

Had to install Classic Shell to get Start back again, can't stand Metro for proper work.

Skoda had it's first service today as it is just coming up a year old and I wanted it on fixed servicing.

Must get round to posting some pictures, so far just a good clean, polish and wax, Columbus (RNS-510) retro-fit and factory BT module.

Hope you are all OK.

Where are you off to Scott.

Paul

I want a rns unit.
510 would be nice, that's what my dad needs.

I'm off to Scotland mate.
2 weeks travelling, should be good.

Get the skoda pics up.

My mates vrs he just bought has the columbus, it is quite nice indeed!

We need pics though dude. :)

Scott, how was docking with the sailors?

I know when I get a chance I will post some up.

Columbus (RNS-510) is a nice unit, I have already managed to update it to the latest firmware and maps. Had fun but got there in the end and found that mine was a latest spec with a 40GB disk installed. So now have 30GB for MP3 on the internal drive.

They are specialist Automotive PATA drives, but there are people that have upgraded them to SSD PATA which I might do once the warranty has run out from the supplier.

That's exactly what my mate has on his. He's a computer geek type person and looked into the ssd also. I think the hdd is a bit of a pain to get to from what he said and he's just gonna leave it as is for now.
No excuse for not having pics yet :p its been a whole day.

I am using the bike for work these days, whilst the weather is good, saves fuel and keeps me fit and means I have lost almost a stone in the last 4 months.

So there is my excuse.

Morning all, undecided if the weekend was a fail or success? My car is still sitting on axle stands outside, I can't seem to separate the strut from the hub on the blasted thing to change my front springs! 9 years undisturbed means they seem to have welded themselves together! Just ordered a strut splitter tool, hope that works!! lol

So decided to take my front bumper off instead to sort out my headlamp washer jet problem and fit my Samco's I've had for 4years or so! lol

Yeah they can be tight MOFOS... saturate in plusgas ,,then an old flat bladed screwdriver forced into the slit...but if you are getting the proper tool it should be easy...they just turn like a socket and voila its open...

We've all struggled and sworn and hit it with a big hammer! All for the sake of that tinny little splitter tool!!!
