Under bonnet temps

As above says really, has anyone come up with anything in terms of getting the temp down under the bonnet, anyone put vents in the bonnet or anything

remove the under bonnet heat sheilding/insulation/ and remove the seal at the back.
Benefits in slow driving and sitting stationary, but youl never feel them, and it won't help anything much at all.

I was thinking of taking some of the sound proofing out of the bay was t sure about the heat shielding, it's only for some reason I just put my hand on my filter the other and felt slightly warm, even tho I have a 3" cold air feed going to it

the heat shielding i mean is the big piece literally on the underside of the bonnet.

you really think a cold air feed, or making your filter cool, will affect anything?
the air is getting heated uo by a 1000 degree turbo charger.
if you want cold air, buy a better intercooler.

All turbo charged cars I've had have all had vented bonnets,

like what? impreza? celica gt4?
impreza is obv for the intercooler, and the gt4 is because the turbo is about a rats pube away from the bonnet.

i might do that i wouldnt mind removing the sound proofing but im paranoid of any noises from the engine bay as it is dont want to be hearing any more lol

you WILL get more noise, especially with the seal removed, not so much the sound/heat proofing.

Take off the insulation under the bonnet,car sounds louder under load,stems come out when your Sat in traffic in cold weather/rain.you dony actually realised how hot.it gets under there
