the thing is i,ve read through the threads on this upgrade
and it seems quite hard to do so a couple of questions
do you guys think its worthwhile doing this upgrade?
does anybody know somebody in the midlands that will quote me to do the job?
if i have to attempt it myself does anybody know where to get the wireing harness from in britain or do you have to order from abroad?
i have standard halogen lights at the moment with a hids upgrade
or should i just sell them on?
:beerchug:
sorry about the pic

thanks bez
that makes it seem not to daunting thanks for the link
i think i must of been reading to much into it with the self leveling and washer units

I did mine. I'm in Leicester. Have ya got wiring?

hi chris
no not yet just got a link for the harness ,and the lights only came on ebay today so got them without looking into anything
that cheap i just hit the buy it now and whent and collected them £50.00 bargain me thinks:hubbahubba:

hmm at 50 quid
you may find u have a problem with the ballast or bulbs
but you may be lucky and all work good.

yeah fingers crossed but when i bought them i thought they were just the lights and the ballest and bulbs was a bonus
plus the geezer that sold them had a unit he was renting out and they were breaking cars there
they did.n t pay the rent and disapeared he called in the police they went through everything and give him the all clear to sell
what was there

Get a kufatec harness. Ya can replace lights without removing bumper. My mate has the nack haha. If ya local and want to have a look pop by

Kufacrap you mean, never use there adapters as allot I've seen supplied to clients have been wired wrong & I would remove bumper tbh to avoid any unneeded issues like damage.

Gasman, I do this weekly, give me a shout on PM if you need an installer.

For the record though, levellers & washers are an mot requirement from 2012, but obviously tester dependent.

thanks NHN
we are in two minds weather to have a go at them
but i would be happy for you to pm me a quote i,m in b,ham
would you keep them with the amber or would it be best to go to clear corners?
seems a bit of a mission to do this
what harness would you recommend if you dont rate the kufatec?
thanks again for any help you guys

I dont use harnesses mate, I try to utilise oem wiring as much as possible & add anything thats missing on the day & need info of you from your car, so please PM me some car info, contact numbers & we can ascertain everythings ok to fit.

hi guys
just split my headlight to do a clear corner

split the lense using a hair dryer alls well with that

but just attempted to knock the amber lense out but it would not budge and now my bottles gone a bit

do you have to remove the chrome surround first or do you just clatter the sod as hard as you can :sos:

ok manage to do the corners it is just give them a whack

yes mate they seemed to be working ok

then i went for a drive and one would start to flicker and then a bulb warning light would come on

but i never coded them and i,ve been advised to do this asap and it will cure the problem

i dont want to use them itin case it causes any damage

will pay the going rate of course and will travel to get it sorted

many thanks Derek

Yes if you've replaced your halogen to xenon then they definitely need re coding.

Where abouts are you?

Have a look on Ross tech wiki to find the coding you require, someone local off here will help I'm sure.
