Newbie from Oz, soon to be London

Hi All

I'm currently living in Sydney but moving to London in a few weeks so I thought I should join a local forum. I've been a member of an Aussie forum for a while and its been great.

I'm currently riding around in a 2010 S3 Sportback s-tronic in phantom black (never that color again!) slightly modified with a Milltek turboback and and GIAC standard tune. I went straight from stock to stage 2 and it was awesome .

I had so many good intentions to go further too. I bought a set of KW V2's and BBS CH blacks (19's) but long story short, they're all still in the boxes and I'll have to sell the lot.

Anyway not to worry I've started to trawl the local used car market (p.s. love the prices!) so will be coming here for advice on all things soon.

The Dub/Vag scene can be pretty big over here so sure you'll find plenty to keep you occupied

haha, I know what you mean, going through a double winter isn't that appealing either.

I'm transferring with work but but it wont be a big surprise. I lived in Dublin for 3.5 years a few years back and the missus was born in Newcastle and has always wanted to live in London. p.s. before you ask, shes like the opposite of "Geordie Shore" :thumbsup:

Hiya and welcome. Wow moving the opposite way!! When we emigrated to Perth we had 2 winters but at least the one here was more bearable!!!

Oh you will so love the prices in the UK lol, not only will the cars seem cheap but the parts too! There will be no stopping you....enjoy.

thanks! Yeah I'm not sure you can call July in Perth a "winter" .

I can't beleive the prices, and the possibility of an RS3! Some of the guys here might not know its not making its way to Oz...

Welcome aboard Nath, and IMHO your moving to the best part of England, I would say that as I live here, lol.

What part of London you coming to mate, a few if us live here? Maybe you could come along to some meets with us. You have Ads in east London, me in north London, and Ash towards Dartford, only to name a few.

Ace cafe in west London is always a good meet the last Tuesday of every month.

Give me a PM when you arrive to tropical London, and even if you don't have your A3/S3 you can still come along and meet some of the guys, as we have a great bunch here, not only from London but all over the country.

There is a big Audi event in castle Combe (ADI) 13th October which may be of interest?

Highbury is where I grew up and lived most of my life 22years. Been in Enfield for 10 years now, only a 20 min drive. I am in highbury quite a bit, home to the famous gunners where I have my season ticket.

Most definitely we will have to meet mate. I'll PM you my mob mate, and you can ask all the questions you like about the area.
