I had started to get a bit bored of my A4, so rather than change it, I;ve decided to spend a wee bit of money on it, getting it to a standard I'm happy with.

First up - new wheels

Excuse my rubbish photography skills.

I'm currently in the middle of fitting two new wheel bearings an B5 spring cups, then friday its in for a decat and remap :sly:

Really like that. The car colour and wheel colour really sets it off.

Are they 19" or 18"

Very nice and wheels suit the colour....I am stuck between this design and the new sline turbines for mine in 18"

looks sweet!
i really like these!
how much did you give for them if you dont mind me being so rude in asking?

Decided I may as well keep my updates in one thread.

Last week saw me fitting 2 new wheel bearings and a set of B5 spring cups. The height is much better now. Will get some decent pictures later.

I also had the car in for a decat pipe and a map.

Turns out my car has a K03s. I'd always assumed it was a k03, so it was a pretty impressive gain.

Couple of hours after the de-cat and map, my exhaust started to blow, and I had noticed that my front suspension arms were pretty tired, so next week its booked in for the rest of the system, and an overhaul of the front suspension.

The bank balance, and the misses are loving me at the minute :whistle2:

Sorry for the stupid response what do b5 spring cups and what do they do to a b6

They slide over the front shocks and are the base to the suspension spring to sit on. B5 versions on a B6 makes the front lower 10 to 15mm as the rears of a B6 tend to sit lower than the front

Hiya butty your car is looking good fair play. i have a question and i hope you can answer it. I am scrapping my old b5 as i have a b6 now do u know if the cups just slide off the b5 and slide straight on the b6 shocks cheers gareth

Pretty much. Depending on the condition of your shocks, you might need to wire brish them a bit to make it easy to slide off.

They are only 30-40 quid new so not a massive amount....

Euro sell them for a fiver a piece. I couldn;t get them from there in time though, so I definitely didn't buy a set of B5 shocks, remove the cups, then return them with a set of B6 cups fitted to them.

Oh I was quoted 36 for the set from tps...I didn't fit them in the end... I wanted to see how the h&r looked firstly...
