Hi all, i know this has been asked a millions times, have been searching through the posts but still cant decide on which ones to go for. Just lowered my s3 on coilovers and now the rear wheels look lost in the arch so i was thinking 15mm spacers, what have people gone for?

I've just tried 10mm front and 15mm rear on mine, but it's a mixed bag for me.

Yes, it looks better, and I even think the rear could take 20 or 25mm to be honest. But, the steering with just 10mm on the front is what I would describe as 'corrupted'! Basically, I thought it was pants, heavier, less precision, and just felt 'wrong'. This is on the standard 17" S3 alloys.

I'm running 10mm on the back now, but have removed the front spacers. The steering is back to how I like it, and the rears look a little less lost now too.

Im going to look at some 18" 8.5 or 9" now, so they can fill the arches more without corrupting the steering/offsets.

I Used to run 10mm front/15mm rear with Porsche big red front brakes and factory 18" wheels.

Looked spot on with factory optional Quattro GmbH suspension the car had.

Just remember you need longer bolts, and keep a standard set in the car for the spare if needed.

Sorry to jump in, but what spacers if any you running on the front there Hoggy?

Its an option, just one I didnt want to try.
I could only fit the spare on the rear anyway due to the Porsche brakes.

As it happened, I kept a full size spare at home, and never needed to use the space saver.

If you're wanting to get new wheels then it may be best to wait. If you're wanting them for your current wheels then I'd say 10mm front and 20mm rear.
