Dark Vader Half Sibling - My Lava Grey A3 - on Bentleys, lowered etc

Great work Ash, has come on a treat since I saw it last. Really looking forward to what is next!

:p pm me where your hunting for the damaged stuff i can show you the way ;) just bought myself a tidy new daily for me to work on so the s3 can change significantly again ;)

Will do Phil, wont be any one else i'll be in touch with when it comes to the facelift
What the daily mate? Looking for a daily myself would like a diesel with the miles i'm doing going back and forth to work.
Plus a low car, country lanes and 10-15 speed bumps nightmare lol

Great work Ash, has come on a treat since I saw it last. Really looking forward to what is next!

Means a lot coming from you Warren  hopefully see you at Audi Driver again this year? And have a proper catch up.

I'd say go for a genuine one... that's just RS3 'style'. Reps never looks quite right.

Ahh right didnt notice the "style" or that they did full honeycomb replica grilles

My God, I want that grill. Have you looked at painting the crash bar behind it?

It is painted mate. Just depends what angle you take the photo you can see it. Annoys the hell out of me :)

Have you thought about plasti-dip, or something else a little less reflective? You can't see it in your sig, so I see what you mean about certain angles.

No never actually considered that. Will look into it though  That plasti-dip does look very interesting

what paint did you use on it ash satin black ? matt black ? heard good things about plasti-dip mind you best person to talk to that about is scott newberry

A few more photo's. Chassis notch should be happening next week so the front will be lower and i'll be happy. Already spoke to my mate about the arches and he going to start gathering parts over the next few weeks. Should be done for Audi Driver 2012
I also bought Matt Andrews old shorted boot lid. Treated the car to a private plate but the dvla seem to be taking their time!
Need to buy rear audi rings and put them back on. Prefer the look with the rings on the back than completely smoothed. You may of noticed i finally de-wiped the rear window yayyy haha. Good and bad comments welcome. Car doesnt look too bad considering how many times it's been repaired where its a magnetic to idiot drivers.

Man, this car is so tidy!

I saw at one point you said you'd mention how you got the grille to fit, but I didn't see if you actually got around to it?

Forgive me if I missed it - I did just go through 11 pages!

Cheers man.

Tom.

Car does look amazing, think its a little low at the back for me but other than that its perfect.

How come you chose to have a square number plate at the back?

Hi Tom,

Didnt actually get round to what? lol...Sorry might just be me being silly half a sleep still ha.
With the grilles, you have to take both grilles a part, start cutting the RS6 grille down to size. And use the outer S3 grille and just put them back together. Not sure what he used to stick them together. But will ask when i see him.

Cheers

great pics Ash B lad. you make me want to blow £550 on a rs3 grill. car looks great fella

Cheers  You know it makes sense to get one ;)

Thanks for the comments mate.

Simple reason really halfords by me only done two size's the normal one and this one.
The normal one wont fit in the recess as its shorter than standard. But my private plate should be on soon so will just have shorter number plate made as its only 5 letters.

Ah right now i understand.

I do love Bentley wheels on Audi's, i'd get a set if they weren't too ****** expensive and i didnt have to travel over 500 miles a week!

Again mate, stunning car!

Thanks mate  I only paid £950 for these without tyes and they were gloss black at the time and in good condition came with spare centre caps as well. Thinking of buying some other wheels as daily. As i dont want to be damaging these going through country lanes to work every day. Just the hassle of splitting them, refurbing and rebuilding them. But didnt do bad for my first set of split's

Lol my wife would tear me a new one if i paid that much for some alloys since we have just had a baby!

In the future i think i'll stretch that far for a set.

Think it would be a good idea for you to get some winter wheels, they're far too good to mess up but i know as soon as you put the winter wheels on you will miss your posh wheels straight away as i did when i had my BMW!

Looking great mate, all the better with the back a little higher/front down to match :)

I have three words though.. Black Interior Mirror! Just paint it like I did :)

My ex partner wasnt too impressed when she didnt see me till half 12 on a saturday night. Because i'd been to england to get some wheels :laugh:There a set on edition38 now for £750 minus centre caps which do cost a bomb to buy. So think thats why they are still for sale. Plus if your wife asks just bend the truth a bit and say they were cheaper ;)

Yeah i will miss them lol but i'll get something decent to run as well so i'll be half happy at least

No worries mate.

Cheers Tim, wont raise the rear till i see what the car like after the chassis notch this saturday. lol even if the front wont come down as much as the rear i will get it too match some how  I refuse to raise it. I like how it sits on the back just need arch rolled for a bit more clearance.

Did have some bother from the police on saturday though, saying the car's too low and the alloys are too big  One was alright and really interested in the car and asking about it. The female well at first she was a see you next tuesday but after abit of talking she wasnt too bad and let me go
I'll take the incounter as a blessing but they did say to watch out for traffic police as they will apparently impound my car as its been mentioned:think:. And my last little run in with them they did threaten to take my car off me next time they pull me:lmfao: And were both the biggest ar$£ h0les i ever met. Lol one of them HATED and i mean HATED with a passion that i had bentleys on
Dont see how they can when the car, taxed, mot, insured and i dont go driving round like a kn0b. Ok i dont have a front plate on, which will be going back on this week but surely that doesnt make the car unroadworthy. They didnt even seem too bothered about my plate they mentioned it once out of the whole hour they had be standing outside my car.

Haha i got one just dont trust myself to fit it i'll end up breaking my windscreen so going to leave it for the time being.
Probably just leave it till i get the interior in.

i still have my black interior mirror for sale!

Have one now fella, friend gave me it for free.
Still need to come up yours let me know what weekends are best for you

Very easy to fit the mirror mate, just get hold of the bit that attached to the windscreen with some mole grips and TWIST 90 degrees. Don't pull or push as this won't help and may damage the screen. Actually comes off very easy with the grips!

Well the car is back on the road, but while being parked outside my house developed a fault a strange noise from the front drivers side wheel area. Jacked it up quick and had a look under everything seemed fine, cv joint, wheel bearing, arms, bushes and a lot were changed between June-August. Checked brake's, wheel, inner arch, undertray, driveshaft a lot of things basically and everything seems to be fine. It comes and goes which is pretty annoying lol. Hopefully get the car on some ramps before Audi Driver this saturday. If not you should all know i'm there when i've arrived from the noise!

Some pictures from a photo shoot my friend did for me on and my other mate with a 135i Milltek Exhaust soon to be Revo Stage 2. On saturday night at some local business parks. Finally got my private plate on and then my my number plate light went :| So will order led ones any one recommend any? Also had a notch on saturday to. As always good and bad comments welcome.
