Hi Guys

My name is Ben. I'm 22, from South Wales, although I'm mainly in Warwickshire/Coventry these days for my job. I bought a 2008 A4 2.0TDi 143 SE in Phantom Black back in February. I've been looking around for a new forum to join as I always join a forum for the car I own. I have to say I've only been browsing the place for a few days, but this is already one of the best forums I've joined!

I'm not big into the modifying scene, I'm more an OEM+/Genuine Accessories kinda lad. I've only put some Audi Exhaust Trims on at the moment just to brighten the back end up a bit. I'm thinking about a different set of bigger, OEM Alloys but I think the car would need to be lowered a little to make it look right.

I'm also big into Detailing. I hate seeing a dirty car and like people to think I take pride in my car and look after my possessions. I do it all by hand at the moment so it takes me an age, but I enjoy it.

I've dropped some pics in below, so cheers, and enjoy!

Haha cheers, I've got way too many photos of it already because I go out and play about with my camera!

I've found various forums to be hit and miss. I had a Rover once and that forum is a bit like this, I still venture in there as I made a few mates. Where as I then had a Saab and all the forums were dead quiet. This place seems to be really friendly and welcoming. I tend to stick to one to so this is the only Audi one I've registered on.

Ben :)

Welcome to the Forum :)
Your Car is looking good.
Them Exhaust make it look much better.
Another non cost Modification which will improve the look of it is to de-badge it.
I agree you should get some bigger wheels and lower it,
Have you thought about remapping it yet ?
You can also get some 3D Carbon lettering Fully legal Registration Plates which are £43.60 and are a fantastic Modification which is currently on my Car and attracts loads of attention.

Cheers Mate.

Yeah, I was surprised how much difference the exhaust trims made after I put them on. I haven't given too much thought to remapping yet as insurance is pricey for me as it is, I'll probably hold out until it is a bit more reasonable for me.

Edit to add, thanks for the link!

Ben :)

Yeah thats true, If you get it remapped the faster you want to go, hit a speed camera that's it up your insurance goes unfortunately.
Most people dont notify there Insurance anyway when they get it done tbh.

How are you liking it so far anyway ? It looks like its in Fantastic nick for its age, Make sure you keep it clean ! :)

I absolutely love it mate. Much better built and more refined than the diesel Saab I had before.

Got my forum stickers today too so I've put them in.

This might sound silly but what stickers did you go for and where did you put them (pics would be awesome!)? I don't have the car or stickers yet and have been trying to decide where I would be able to but them that would look subtle!

I also recommend you to use Shell V Power Diesel, It makes a massive difference and is much better for your car, Find your nearest garage here.

I went for the interior frosted stickers and put them in the bottom corner on the back door windows towards the back of the car. I was a bit iffy on where to put them initially as the lettering is quite large, but the frosted effect makes them a bit more subtle and I really like them.

I haven't taken any pics with them on yet, I will and get them on here for you as soon as it stops raining. I've also since added chrome strips to the front grille.

Also, I bought some oil to top up, I checked the handbook first obv. My car is on the longlife schedule, so I bought Castrol Edge 5w30 for VW 504 00/507 00, is this ok?

Cheers,

Ben :)

That's looking good Ben!

I'm wondering if I'd be able to fit them in the little windows behind the rear door...? I'd be paranoid that rolling down the windows would peel them off if I had them where you do! Lol.

They don't fit in the little windows unless you split the sticker up. I didn't want them in the rear window as it is't that big as it is and I don't like anything obscuring my view.

I've had the windows down once or twice and they've been ok. I think they just about miss the felt stuff. There quite thick compared to stickers I've bought in the past so if they're applied properly you should be ok :)
