A4 B8 ".0 TFSI exhaust mods

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced exhaust system or even just a 'back box' upgrade. I have looked at Milltek nd the like but struggle to justify the cost. I am basically after just a little more noise. Not boy racer screaming shouty but just a nice burble. This could probably be achieved with a back box but would appreiate the benefit of all of your experience. It needs to be a single exit dual tip not the dual exit (one ether side) type. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would go to a custom exhaust builder like powerflow and get what you want if price is problem.

I have had 3 milteks on 3 different cars and they really do make a big difference. I sore a 17bhp increase on the dyno with the wifes Zafira GSi but that was a 3in turbo back system with 100cell sports cat!!! . I have a cat back on order now for the TDi and is being delivered next week. I'm now trying to find someone to custom make a Turbo to cat pipe right now and its hard.

Have you heard the milltek?? Its something else.

Jetex do a system for around the £400 mark depending whether you want it resonated or not. I may consider it in the future.

I got a quote of £460 from Powerflow versus the £870 I'd have to pay for the Milltek version so I'd say that's pretty good personally! Lol.

That was only for a cat back system mate. That's all I'm looking for so I can hear a bit more of the V6 sound but not have my eardrums bleed...

Just go in and see Powerflow, they custom make it to your request so you can just ask them to not make it too loud! That's what I'm going to do when it comes to it.

Yes sometimes the logistical distance is the biggest object to overcome.

Cheers for the heads up! But is it really £400+ worse?! That's the price difference to the Miltek so would be nice to know...

If you shop around you could still get a very good quality system, whether it be milltek or not.

Milltek is not the only quality manufacturer out there, & you could still save £££'s on a rival system.

In my younger years I had a powerflow cat back exhaust on my Clio, the workmanship was ok but the bends were poor, bore was reduced considerably!

Like I said previously Jetex make systems for the B8 and seem to be a lot cheaper than milltek. Another option if you northern guys don't mind a bit of traveling is Stainless Creations in Falkirk. I've never used them myself but I have heard that their work is top notch and you can have the system made to your requirements.

They are sounding like a better option than Powerflow boys then since no-one seems to have had a great experience with them from here! Haha. I've had a look at a few systems and they all seem to be about £7-800+ for cat backs which just seems ridiculously expensive to me so haven't just seen the Milltek and run away or anything!
