AITP 2012 convoys list

ok peoples so we have just over a week until this event now so i thought id start a convoy list for us all.
i know there is a thread about this but its for the whole of the forum and has been overlooked a little, plus i believe it will be more efficiant to sub forums for this kinda thing.

im not camping so will be traveling up on the day.

i have a choice of two routes to take

• M11 then A14 about 78 miles for me

•A602 (stevenage) A1(M) then A14, less miles but takes longer

im happy to meet anyone along either of these routes or just off (meeting point) so anyone guve me a shout and we can organise a nice slow cruise up there :)

either would be good as we could arrange a meet at brampton hut then you could hook up with us east anglians on the way plus we leave allowin enough time for breakfast there anyway

also where are you from?
 
I'll be doing the a1(m) - a14 route, if planned right i could catch up with you on the a14
 
suffolk, sorry don't know the postcode but its where the a1 meets the a14 near huntingdon (a14 junction 21 i think) there is a large bp and mcdonalds on the roundabout or alternatively there is cambridge services just beyond where the m11 joins the a14
 
yea that sounds a pretty good meeting point tbh, as a good few of us should be heading past it :)

what time are aiming to be there for?
 
i am thinking we want to be at wicksteed for about 9:30? in which case i would aim to be there at about 8:15-8:30 to grab something to eat for us and the kids and set off again about 9:00, how does that sound?

I can find that brampton hut for 8ish if your doing the m11 route?

I'm pretty flexible as its just me!
 
well i dont mind eitherway i go, still a week to go so hopefully more people will get onboard and we can see whats the best route for the majority :)

AudiSRS are convoying from south mimms, meeting @ 9, leaving @ 9.30

Yeah i personally leave early but will go with the majority of the convoy. I have asked if thats not a little late. Id prob say ready to leave at 9
 
Me and jay a3 are heading up to meet others sat night, but I might be interested in convoying back with some of you depending on what time you leave?

Hey guys, I've just seen this and thinking about heading up for just Sunday, will ASN have it's own like area up there? Only I'll probably be heading up on my own, and I've never met anyone from here or anything, so don't wanna turn up and look like an idiot, lol.

If I can make it, I'll be heading from Salisbury, don't suppose anyone's passing through in the morning that I could tag along with??

I'll be leaving Aldershot around 7.30 ish joining the m3 at j4 so might see you

yes there is an ASN stand, you just ask to be directed on to the ASN stand at the gate :)

tag along with us mate, think we've got 3 in our convoy so far, i'm in bournemouth, so like somewhere on the m27 we could meet up? i'm assuming you're taking the m27, m3, m25, m1 route? or you doing the a34 route or whatever that road is?
 
What sort of time you leaving Bournemouth? Fleet services are before I would join the m3 so depending on what time your passing J4 I'll hook up with you on the motorway :)

To be honest, the A34 route is quite a bit quicker, I think! Surely it would be for you guys too? Hit up the M3 then drop off at Winchester?

I'm in Potters Bar , so about 10mins away from South Mimms. That would be great, what time were you thinking of meeting at south mimms?
 
not too sure yet, waiting on replies from the others on times but will keep you informed :)
 
we'll be coming along the a14 and prob make a stop on way

iv just sent you a pm mate, if you dont want to take the m11 route on ya own you could slways come along with us, im going to take the m11, m25, m1 and meet a few people on the way, only 6 mins difference for me :)
 
right well i think we have a number of us coming from this area.. maybe 4-5 then meeting up with people along the way so ron you know the m1 well? like where the services are etc? or what services would be gd to meet at?>

this is five mins from the m1, (aquasplash for people that know it)

it has a mcdonalds and a tesco so people can have a loo break ect, josh what time do you think you could get here for?
 
to the guys that are planning on joining the m1 convoy from london and surrounding areas i will pm you aswell as posting up here times and places/postcodesto ensure we all know whats going on :)
 
also do not forget to grab your free ASN wristband supplied at the ASN tent, this will allow you to have a free lunch on Admin who has put alot of money and time into this to give us an awsome time.

Sorry, forgot to also say that we have free bottled audi-sport.net water as well guys, as long as you have the wrist band. All we ask is that you all enjoy yourselves. :) x
