How long have you owned your S3?

Obviously, the newer the car, the shorter you would have owned it.

Mine is a T99 model, and I have owned it since 30th August 2001, so coming upto 7 years, which is probably the longest ownership on this forum, how long have you owned yours?
 
Afternoon JoJo - I'll go first. Mines a 2002 and owned since Dec 2006 so not very long at all and spent a fecking fortune sorting it out.
 
Mines a 51 plate car and have owned it since March 15th this year, so a drop in the ocean compared to you jojo :) Plan on keeping it for at least the next 3 years, but maybe longer depending on how things go!
 
mines a 2000 x reg s3. owned it since feb this year. has been REVO'd and goin in for new clutch and flywheel and clutch switch this thurs.costing alot but loving the car so far. plan on keeping it around 3-4 yrs
 
Mines a 2002 '51 Plater and I have owned it for 2 months now, spent forever looking for it though!!

I have also spent a fortune on it.....and thats just the petrol...lol..
 
2000 X owned for 6 months, love it but the fuel is a killer :ohmy:

I swore I wasn't going to mod it and if I hadn't of come on here I probably wouldn't of :keule:
 
Have a 02 plate and have driven it since May 2002, but have owned it from May 2004. It was my company car and still is. Has now done 157k and will run it to 200k and beyond.
 
I've had mine for 31 days now, but it only really gets driven at weekends, so only done 1050 miles, including a long weekend in the Lake District.

Definitely no regrets, but thanks to Dave_B, I now have to get a remap!!!

Only had mine about 2 months, it's a 03/52 plate... and loving it !
It will always be an S series Audi... :yahoo:A little special !!
 
7 years is impressive Jojo.

...Had mine since Jan 2005, 2001(Y) and joined the forum a few days before I picked her up. I'm the 2nd owner and providing I dont stack it, will keep her for as long as I can.
 
just under a year for me - although I had the A3 derv for 5 1/2 years & 75000 miles before that

I don't think i'll be selling anytime soon :)

WOW! I take it you took delivery with only a handful of miles on the clock. Mine had 25k miles when I picked it up, it's on something like 55k miles, so 30k'ish miles in almost 7 years during my ownership. I used it almost daily in the forst couple of years, and since doing the brakes, suspension and remap, it's become more of a weekend car..... or maybe the mk2 Golf GTI is just too much fun to drive lol. :racer:

Yeah it was my brand new company car back then with 9 miles on the clock or something!!

The 225bhp has been great and doing all of the 157k ish miles has been fun though sometimes painful (new engine, blown tyres, crashed into)

I love it to bits, the old S3 (210bhp) i had went a few months before I got the new one; DanS3 on here bought it but since then I have no odea where it is.

On a change I notice you are a fellow 2003 AS.NET member, I wonder who else there is?
 
Hi Jojo, had mine about 5 weeks now, well I've driven it for about 3 weeks. Start of forth week a guy drove into the side of me so its being repaired now. Pretty dissapointed but I got a 57 plate S4 for a curtesy car so theres always a silver lining lol.:arco:
 
mines 2001 facelift owned it since last june so just over ten months i think.lol
 
i bought my last a3 1.8T in july 2001....and got rid in Jan this year...so you only just beat me:eyebrows:
 
I had my A3 since 19th May 2003, sold it 22nd October last year at 12:00 midday, picked up the S3 at 13:00 on 22nd October.
 
Looks like I've been a member since 2003 as well, guess I joined when I picked up the A3 then
 
i will have had my S3 (2001) 2 weeks tomorrow :)
 
mine was born dec 02
I had it dec 16th 05...didn't tell anyone about my purchase so when I rolled up at work I had everyone eyeballing it which was amusing to see.
Maybe Joe you should of added whos entirely happy with it?
 
Dec 2007, want to sell mine for a Evo. Looking at doing so after the summer when i have some pennies.
 
Im happy with mine so far, however I am stressing about the petrol costs, which i am bound to expect, however, i was speaking to a friend who does the same sort of mileage as me but in a diesel mondeo and he literally gets double the miles than me on the same money....but dont tell the missus ;-)
 
Making me feel old now. I've had mine for 4 years and 1 month. Registered Jan 01, purchased Mar 04. That doesn't come close to your record Joe.

However I have owned my Ibiza for 11 years 1 month? Does that count?
 
Ordered mine in March 2001 after writing my ITR off...it arrived May 2001 (Nogaro Blue, 210 AMK)
Kept it 3 1/2 years, tuned it...quite a bit.
Only sold it as I had a large Redundancy package heading my way and it seemed rude not to spend it wisely - on a 911.

Ideally, I would have kept the S3...but had too much cash sitting tied up in it, that was needed to pay for it's replacement.
 
Coming up to a year now! Love it but it's a money pit!

i have nearly owned my car a year now and have spent an absolute fortune... and i dont think its going to get any cheaper anytime soon!!!

Got to love a good old thread revival :)

I would have owned my current S3 8L for 4 years this october....although my S3 ownership did start in February 2008 but I did have a 'slight' accident with her that deemed it a write off! I have a pretty bad track record with black cars! lol
 
14 Months ish on my first 2002 225 S3
9 years on my second 2003 225 S3 ( Just sold)

This third 2011 8P S3, just a couple of months so far. Who knows, maybe a high spec, low miles mint RS3 might tempt me once they have depreciated like the TTRS have.
