will a later single grill bumper fit on my early twin grill car

probably been asked a million times before but saves me hunting.my grills cracked anyway and bumper has chips so may get later type if fits and get painted instead

It won't.
You can get the 8P2 single grill on when you replace the bumper and the bonnet.

well sorry but i cant seem to find anything.see people trying to change bumpers from early a3 to 8p shape but nothing else mentioning 8p being facelifted slightly.but found my answer anyway thanks

took me about 60seconds.. I presume this is what you want. The proceedure is similar for all single grill fronts till the 8P3 facelift..

spot on cheers,how do you find so quick?typed facelifting 8p etc in search box but nothing i wanted came up.im fairly new to this and still working out how to use it all :S

Bonnets are slightly different, the price difference is minimal.

Third picture down on the first link in my second post shows why you have to change bonnet.. Its a silver bonnet with a red bumper..

****** hell such a small difference suppprised they made the effort to change it at all.dont think il waste the time and effort doing it now.not worth the effort painting a new bonnet too :\.cheers all for the advice still
