Note that the UK are not putting in a target pistol squad this year, ****** my mate right off as it has cost him around £18k over the last two years to qualify.
 
Yeeeeeees another gold in double trap shooting this time 2 golds in 2 minutes with the canoeing get in team GB
 
She did well to beat the world champion to get to the final so close to another gold.

Very emotional the semi-final one was,good on her
Peter with the gun was superb,the cycling was just brilliant it was a shame for the birds.Pendleton was a bit blasé about it I felt 'never had a problem so never thought about it' ??
 
Lots of pressure on these youngsters to bring in a gold. That funny looking bird that was supposed to win gold in the swimming did really well to get a bronze, but it feels like she is being classed as a failure. She might not have a nice boat race, but she is the 3rd best female freestyle swimmer on the planet! I think it is Adlington, bless her.

But that Pendleton girl has got some massive balls, after being disqualified yesterday the pressure must have been so intense. She held it together and did so well. The rowing girls were also good, so were the chaps on the funny looking bikes.

Just need the Jess Ennis to show me how to get Abs like that!

really enjoying it so far.great performances resulting in more medals than i thought wed get.Only thing that spoils it for me is that dykey princess di wannabe swimming commentator clare balding.really laid into bex when she got a bronze stating it was disappointing.Had to apologise apparantly, but shes got form for bieng nasty.I remember her interviewing a jockey with bad teeth after winning a race and told him he could afford to get his teeth fixed.Hate the cow.hate her more than the other commentators/presenters that cant say thier 'r' s pwoperly.
On a happier note track and field has started.plenty perving at the hurdles.id give a testicle to have a go on that jess ennis
 
Another Gold for Team GB, the Men seal victory in the 1500m Rowing, and Team GB move up to THIRD place in the medals table.

Lets put this in perspective.

We are 3rd in the WORLD medals table.

The population of the world is 6 Billion, we have 65 million in Great Britain.

We are 22nd in the list of countries by population.

There are two reasons I can think of to answer how we are doing so well.

The first is the home advantage. Not just the crowd, not just the support, but the fact that the nation has been focussed on the Olympics for the last few years.

The second reason is the National Lottery. The funding that comes from the Lottery to pay for all our excellent sportsmen and women is making a huge difference.

Last time we were at an Olympics in 2008, we came 4th in the medal table.

Every time you buy a lottery ticket, or a scratchcard, we are helping our athletes to become the best they can be.

If only Stella Artois could do the same. That would make me feel even better.

Go team GB. You guys rock!
 
Yes, I think Team GB are doing really well personally, doesn't matter if it's Gold/Silver/Bronze, a medal is a MEDAL! I'm proud of out Athlete's regardless of the results!
 
Just goes to show the haters can shut their mouths now. Well done team GB

didnt see the VT what she said about bex, but did hear the apology.
i was watching the horse racing when she said that to the jockey, and i was shocked to hear a comment like that!

I always look forward to the Olympics for so many different reasons, but top of my list are the personal stories that got them athletes there in the first place. :icon_thumright:

quite.amazing to see the old eastern bloc countries crap out too.really proud of those that have competed.in awe of the cycling team

Well. When he says we, he means Great Britain, but what he failed to remember is that Wales And Scotland don't get the chance to take penalties as they never get that far.

I am going to miss the Olympics when it is over.


I mean, I am able to sit here perving at really fit women in tiny knickers and my missus hasn't tutted at me once.
