what would you say was the best ...........

Fit a Symphony / Concert II+ headunit from a late B7 - Get the wiring adaptor and Ipod interface from Kufatec.

Looks all standard + greatly increased sound quality.

I brought this from a 57 plate sline model thinking it will fit my 2002 model but realised after the climate control unit is also slimmer and it will not fit unless I buy a slim climate unit but these can be expensive and rare

not for a B6 if i read rightly.

YEs I think that's what he means, I have that in mine and the sound quality is a lot better... not (yet) compatible with B6 MFSW though (except volume controls)... I'm working on it!

EDIT: Climate unit just needs trimming and you need a connector from Kufatec... the seller obviously isn't on a forum!!

I've read it turkster just wondered if it will fit mine if I trim the climate control unit down lol...

Yep, exactly what I mean.
If you have a double-din Symphony unit, it just slides straight in with the addition of a wiring loom adaptor from Kufatec.
Kufatec also do the adaptors for the MF-steering wheel & I-pod.
Slightly more expensive option but its worth it for the looks, sound upgrade and OEM-ness (gets rid of the tape-deck which makes the interior feel abit more up-to date)

If you have the single-din concert unit I believe you need to remove the existing centre console & replace for one with a double-din slot.

Here is mine;

Sweet I'm going to fetch mine shortly it's local to me so saving the p&p

Is bluetooth an option?

Saves you from being stuck with a iPhone interface, you can also use other phones, tablets and future iPhones when they change the plug again.

Alex do you know which cable kit I need I've contacted kufatec today and they going to get back to me
