Hi,

I hope some one can help I have the option of a set of genuine Audi alloys but they are 9x19 will a 9J with fit or are they too wide??

Help appreciated!!

As with many times before....

18s for handling and 19s for show....choose carefully first before buying as I know a few who've bought 19s and then moved back.

S3Alex is that rule for lowered or standard suspenstion?

I dont want to make the mistake :banghead:

I think it depends on what you want.

Mine is slightly lowered(and by that I mean about 2cms) but I would rather have handling any day than looks.

The car is a bit towards the far end of what most would do to a poor old S3 but that does make the handling important and I found the limits of that at a recent track day where the understeer was obvious.

If you don't need the most grip and you don't mind it crashing a bit over bumps then the 19s will look good and work OK.

If you want more power eventually I would think about 18s.

Ok, well thanks for the replies ... Job sorted I will stay with the 18's and just lower a bit!!

Looking to take the car to stage 2+ for starters but my aim is 400BHP + buy the time I finish with the engine!!

Thanks man, sound advise

I too will be sticking with 18's and lower a little

How come the RS3 comes standard with 19's? Just sayin.

When is it?? You guys got a stand there??

Try it and see.

All I can go by is the advice of my own tuners and the number of people who've tried 19s and gone back when they find the handling has worsened.

Complete newbie question, why do the fenders make a difference? Just literally because of the size of the alloy?
