Am I the only one that kept getting faulty side lights and rear number plate lights? They kept breaking on me, shame really as the look smart!

Nope still have the original number plate bulbs as they just wouldn't work without errors not once did they light up. Wonder if some canbus systems are more sensitive than others.. As you said shame :-(

Possible, can't fault the owner of E M Tuning though, he sent replacement after replacement and in the end gave me a full refund.

I have read on here that the rear number plate bulbs from the A5 work a treat in the A3? I think it was the A5 anyway.

There are part numbers listed for the rear bulbs somewhere on this site, I'll do a search and try find them when I'm on the computer.

Interesting with regards to reg bulbs. Havent got my kit yet so should be Monday. Fingers crossed but all the rest should look the nuts!
Got my DRLs running now too Aiden. CN Tuning did my remap to a shark then we had a play with settings after.

Not just fogs on DRLs though but sidelights also...looks gd still though :)

Did you reduce the light output down though? You don't want your fog lights on full brightness all the time Dan otherwise you might get a tug from the rozzers.

What setting would I have to have selected to reduce it down? I can get it done its not a bother if it already...

No idea if I'm honest i just know when mine were enabled i reduced the light output down from 100% to 27%, Mike Foster on here did it for me so i can't tell you exactly where you will find each setting in VCDS.

A user call Rhyso here has done it himself so he'll be able to tell you where the settings are mate.

I want mind done as I am always driving around with my sidelights on as DRL's... Would be good to have that done if anyone is near Norwich and can do this I'll stump up some beer tokens

Aiden - did you find the A5 bulbs? Are these a white light replacement?

Dan, didnt mean to press dislike on your post, my silly GF pressed a button on the laptop and when i clicked on the page it clicked that.

Guys the part number for the OEM LED's from Audi are 4H0 943 021 AND 4H0 943 022, They are around £12 each from the stealers.

T8ups..ha I am cut down deep. Lol I:)

Got all the LEDs through Saturday and fitted all but sidelights and boot/glove box and number plate bulbs.
Made a huge difference already and loving them so far. Just got the
issue of the number plate screws not budging grrrr! May have to be drilled out.
other issue is getting the glove box and boot lights to work! Having right dramas!

Dan

Only other drama is getting to the sidelights to change those!! Need to take head lights out?

T8ups is that the holders and bulbs or just bulbs? Is that a plug and play thing?

its a whole unit with built in LED's. made for audi by hella.

Dan,

you dont need to take the headlamps out at all to change them, you will need smaller hands tho.

in regards to the boot and glove make sure the clips are adjusted correctly and inline so the holder will make contact and stay securly in place.

any other questions then just ask.
