Hi all I'm in two minds about having either a single din to double din conversion or buying an after marker motorised flip screen I've been looking at the pioneer 6300bt is it worth the money and effort for a conversion or just go with the motorised screen? any opinions would be great thanks

It's all just personal opinion. I chose to go with the double DIN conversion because it looks much nicer and more OEM than a flip out. In top of that, it doesn't block my center air con vents, and I've always felt that the flip out touchscreens seem flimsy. The aftermarket seems to be moving away from flip outs too, most of the nicer units are double DIN now.

If you don't mind the look/feel of a flip out and find a model that you like, it certainly would be a lot less expensive- I spent more on the conversion parts than I spent on my head unit!

yea I know what you mean about the look Not really keen on blocking vents and drink holder ect Now that I think About it, how much did the conversion cost if you don't mind me asking? Seems a much tidier and sensible option really

go double din, buy my mk1 rnse ill do you a top price :)
yea am gonna go double din then seems the best way thanks for offer phil but don't know what unit I'm after yet, does anyone here do single to double din conversions north west area

I was looking at this one as well before but I decided to go for pioneer 8400. The single din avh 6300 is looking good but when the screen pop out,it will block the middle air vents which is not good for winter :))

Yea mate that's why am going to go for double din looks tidier and doesn't get in the way, how much did your conversion cost mate and did you do it yourself ?

No a member on this forum did it for me. Total cost I spent on the conversion was 395 incuded parts and labour charge. I had to pay extra 50 quid cause I had wrong cable.
