Never really bothered about a thread for the Wagon but i thought i'd throw one up for ****s and giggles!.

I've had it now for over a year and although it had a few issue's to start with its now running sweet and looks like a keeper.

Started like this.

Then a spot of debadge-ing and some tints

6909864275_50871d2080_b.jpg

Then it got some 'B' Werks fettling.

and this week i got some new rims (Jury's still out on them?), DPF has been thrown to f**K as has the EGR valve so its a wee bit faster now

This is the pipe coming off the turbo nice and restrictive

Cheeky wee flat bottom. Also fitted Cruise and a towbar.

So thats it just now, Future mods will include getting the ride height sorted once all the bits arrive and fit a front plate filler to get my short plates on.

Cheers for looking

Fella that looks great, dpf & egr delete/removal is now on the cards for me. Love the steering wheel - what's it off mate

Mac

The wheel is off a TT I believe!. The DPF removal has really made a big difference to the way the car drives now.

Is there much black smoke on acceleration

Reckon it looks really good too. Just like mine but pimped - although I did spec cruise and towbar on mine! I think the wheel colour works really well against black. I've got a set of ProRace 1.2 in graphite that i'll put on next once I've used the tyres up on another car.

looks spot on that pal, cant go wrong with rotiforms

What was involved removing the DPF and EGR? How long did it take?

hi could you put a picture /description of the pipe you have made or fitted for the dpf im gonna do this to my 170 pics would be good thanks steve

Loving this look:icon_thumright:...
7132249947_924c801469_b.jpg

...but you really should get some smoked side indicators, and then open up the headlights and black out the blade fitted to the headlight lens.
Finally, black S-line badges on the grille and door blades.

That would really finish off the black edition look.

Loving the look of this! Not sure on the new wheels, but other than that....:applaus:

I think you've a great job there mate. I would say I agree on the wheels, there not my thing but each to there own. I know rotiforms are desirable but i just think there's too much going on. Saying that, I still think it looks great.

On my car, which is liquid blue with black extras, I know what your thinking, but it somehow works. I have went for the black lights and badges but I think yours looks good with keeping the silver, it breaks the black up nicely.

Either way mate, I like it :icon_thumright:

Small update,

I was forced to fit the lowering springs due to a snapped rear spring showing up at MOT time, They are Eibach Sportlines which are a tad low and the front is way too low now due to me fitting the B5 spring cups too so i'll be fitting the original cups soon to get it sitting level again.
Rear bumper was resprayed to tidy it up as where the sill skirts and fitted my short plates along with the chrome rings for a wee change.

Wheels are growing on me but they are a right pain in the ****ing *** to keep clean!!

I think it sits perfect mate really wouldnt put the original cups back on !! I think the wheels would look better with some spacers they look lost in the arches and smaller tgan they actually are ?

Sorted out the ride height up front today by refitting the B7 spring cups sits nice and level now.

Thanks for looking.

Really nice looking avant you have there fella... have to say I'm not a fan of the roti's (reps of reps?) though... they look a bit small and lost in the arches to me - I do like the rest of your mods though! ;)

I like it, the wheels are pretty nice although there is something not right i can't place which is they maybe look a little similar to an old sierra cosworth set of rims.

I have a black edition too and i think they are a great looking car, i like what you have done as it is pretty understated.

How much drop did you go for when you put the new springs on?

I've just literally sat down to find the part code for the b5 spring cups ready to go out and get them. Was gonna do them and springs but you've got me doubting wether I should now........ :s lol

The springs I have are eibach E20-15-003-05-22 Sportlines and going by their website the front lowers 45-50mm but when I had the B5 spring cups on it was lower at the front and scrubbed the wings on full lock. Now the front sits a wee bit higher than the back again so I think maybe h&r's with cups might be the way forward for a nice level stance!.

That sits great!

Are they the 35mm drop H&R's?.
Is there a difference between the B5 & B7 H&R's?

I love how that sits, it's pretty much perfect. Do the rears rub on the inner arches?

No rubbing at all even full loaded with a roof box full on family holidays !!

H&R sport springs quoted as 35 mm drop so thats about 20mm drop on a s line but its more than that ! Ride is better or at least no worse than std s line set up.

10mm front spacers and 12mm rears wheels are flush.

Are they 18 or 19's and whats the original offset?

nice looking Avant!

Having gone through the pain of the DPF/EGR removal I noticed you appear to have removed only the 'pre' cat that is just off the turbo tucked behind the engine... did you not have this beast under the car? (which was my DPF, that has two vacuum hoses attached)

compared to my 'pre' cat which was a pain to get out from behind the V6
