Car looks nice tbh, except for that bra, really doesnt do the front or car look any favours.

nice shine, lovely rims! lovely looking car mate,
but,
please remove that thing on the front! :busted_cop:

cheers guys its a good job i had the bra on today as on the way back from bridlington following and old vauxhall omega accelerating up the slip road he chucked what can only be described as a torpedo of black carbon onto the bonnet bra and bounced over my roof and hit the car behind me.

All sorts of grit and dust will get under it and ruin your paintwork, oh and it's UGLY!!!

dont think so mate car was spotless when i fitted it and its now in removed and in the garage ready for next decent rip out ,will not be used for local usage .

Looking good mate. Wheels suit it. What make are them headlights you have fitted? Any links? prefer them to the look of the Dectanes I have fitted.

yes mate got them from here

PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS LHD "starline" for Audi A4 (B7, 11/04-08), with DRL, in bla | eBay

listed as lhd version so bought them with intension of doing the conversion for rhd (reflector has a cut out to aim beam right on lhd to light road sign ect ,rhd aim beam to left for our signs ect, ,jut need to plate reflector to have no cut out hence straight beam no dazzling oncoming traffic) but when i looked inside the projector light they have a straight reflector already ,only beams to right on full beam which you would not use in oncoming traffic anyway so left them as is ,had no problems of dazzling oncoming traffic up to press (not been flashed anyway) kept my standards just incase i have issues at mot time .

TBH i think these are the same light for a lot more money as listed for lhd or rhd

AUDI A4 S4 B7 4D 05 06 07 08 LED DRL HEADLIGHT + XENON | eBay

here are pics of what i am trying to explain 1st my wife's headlights as rhd work notice beam goes upwards on left hand side

IMG_1341.jpg

that is what lhd drive should be like but should go upwards on right hand side .

now a pic of my headlights notice beam is straight accross

IMG_1340.jpg

hence i think these are universal left or right hand drive

I'd rather have chips than that have monstrosity on front of my car, horrific things & whoever invented needs shooting.

Car colour and wheel combo looks slick but not with the bonnet stone chip thing..

cheers ,think this is one of my favourite shots

cheers ,dont take kids to meets they do your head in:tocktock:

How did you get on with the mot.

As for the headlights they come with h9 bulbs as standard does the one bulb do both dipped and main beam.

no problem with mot ,yes the one lamp does high and low beam as there is a flap that moves to raise beam pattern for high beam .

Good news, I have h7 diamond vision bulbs (5000k) currently installed so I might get the h9 version for these.

After smashing two windscreens through the heavy gravel they spread in Winter up here, I started using one of those bonnet bras on my car...end October - end April....guess what?....no more chipped windscreens. They do work and doesn't f*ck up the paintwork as much as gravel chips do!..I would take it off in the Summer though....yeagh, that Thursday in July! hahaha

Lovely paintwork finish btw Matey. Good Luck!

A set of those lights is on my shopping list I think... what bulbd are you using with them? They look like HIDs but they're illegal without washers & auto-levelling etc... unless you have that also? You say it passed an MOT ok?

It's a hid effect with the lenses installed, they come with H9 bulbs fitted.

Not sure if davsa4 had upgraded his, I'll have a look later at what is fitted as standard. I got mine from the same company as the op so ill have a look later, they also sent me a free set of 7500k h9's but they are to blue for my liking. T8ups sell all sorts of bulbs on here so I've ordered a set of ice white 5000k h9's which about the best colour in my opinion.

ayup , yes mate i have upgraded to 6000k hid lamps and ballasts (i know you are supposed to have washers and self levelling but with projector style lights i have had no issues with dazzling other drivers) fitted standard h9 lamps for mot though :whistle2:

Car looks stunning ( a part from the bra but each to their own )

Really like the stance it has!

Can you actually use HIDs with these headlights? I wanted to get some but the seller told me that they're not suitable for use with HIDs.
