First logs of my S3 - help me understand!

Hi all,

Had the car a few months now and have never got round to logging, but last night went to visit a fellow forum member (thanks Alex!) and did a couple of 3rd gear WOT runs. The car has a B5 TIP and was mapped before I bought it by RSD Daventry. It peaked at 202 g/s but other than that I don't know much about what these logs are telling me. Would appreciate people having a quick check that everything is as it should be.

Looks like ok logs. Highest airflow of 202 (252bhp), no major pull on ignition timing.

Nothing seems amiss there mate, I'm assuming the car has a stage 1 map and no major mods?

Hi Westy,

Correct - It's a 2001 AMK and the only mod it has at present is a B5 tip to the standard airbox (currently running standard filter).

I'm just pleased it's making roughly expected figures as it's very easy to get paranoid and think it's not as quick as it should be! Do the above logs tell you much about fuelling ie. Whether or not it's running lean?

Fuelling looks ok too mate. Nothing lower then 11 on the AFRs (Air to Fuel Ratio) on boost which is fine.

To get AFR you need to take the figures under 031 (middle column in his 1st spreadsheet) and x14.7.

so for example 0.992 x 14.7 = 14.5

You can put the calculation into excel to work out the whole log then make a sexy little line graph
