Hi all.

Are there any obvious differences on ETKA between these two parts:

8D2 721 523 H
8D2 721 523 E

Thanks in advance

*For anyone else reading this without the benefit of ETKA, they are both accelerator pedals with attached sensor assembly.

Thanks Johnny.

It's for a B6 A4 TDI 130.

Those parts definately exist

Early B6, late 2001 for 8D2 721 523 H, not sure about the other

8D2 is the designation for the B5 Right hand drive cars. 8D1 left hand drive and 8D0 is across RHD and LHD

8E2/8E1/8E0 is B6 platform cars.

Hi.
I have found no 8D2! Have found 8E2 for that car, the H being for diesel and the E for petrol.8E1 and 8D1 are for left hand drives.I have checked both variants for the 2001 model, ( >>8D-1-200 000 and 8E1-000-001 >>8E-5-400 000)

Thanks for the info.

According to TPS, my B6 needs 8D2 721 523 H........?

Thanks chasdury, i found one 8d2 on a B5 model, but rest of numbers dont match and it has no electronic module

They search by numberplate. Mine is a very early B6 so maybe there are the usual parts crossovers etc???

It's possible - but i think unlikely in that it's a whole platform change i can't see the accelertor pedal being the same... I mean, maybe for a facelift but not a whole platform...but it could be!

Should be search by chassis number. Then ETKA will throw up EVERTHING that is on that vehicle. My ETKA doesnt have that facility (used to ) as its non subscription but current

Sooooo.....I've rung TPS back and they've run a search by VIN, definately the correct part according to their system (8D2 721 523 H).

As mentioned above, the 'H' part designates diesel, but he was certain that the '8D2' was correct for my vehicle.

Anyone know the procedure for removing the pedal assembly (to check the contacts and part number)?

comes up on my etka as been for a diesel model 1999 - 2001 RHD this is a B5

the E was discontinued and replaced with H

8E2 721 523 H for the 2001 b6 is for a RHD diesel

8E2 721 523 E is for RHD petrol

After much buggering around I found the 8D2 number.Operator error soz.The number does exist, but wont tell me what it is/for.I know its an accelerator pedal.Theres quite a lot of VAG models that share the same pedal though, passats A4, A6 etc
