F1 Season 2012

Two words.. Blown defusser. Many won't admit but I'm certain they ran them in late 2009. And I belive brawn managed to execute a ground effect with in rules.. But I could be wrong.

I agree with a lot of the above.... in answer to the pit scenario, Button hasn't really been in contention these past few races, so i would expect Hamilton to get priority in more instances, thats logic isn't it?

I would like either driver to win on a weekend, however my opinion of Button is that he just isn't as fast as Hamilton, end of... previously he's had the mature thing going on, but now he's dropping back after having his albeit short 'stint' at the top of the team. Personally i'm fed up with him winging on every press interview.

Mclaren are probably one of those teams that treat their drivers equally IMO - you never hear that one has a new package and the other doesn't like the Webber/Vettel instances last year. We can speculate all day long as to who the team are taking advice off on the development of the car, fact is, neither of us know.

Makes me laugh how some turn around and say Alonso is starting to win because of his input into the team and the car - Not taking anything away from Alonso, but how the frick can you make that statement confidently, because he's leading the championship? he could just as easily be the driver giving the least input, putting the onus on the extremely professional developers of the cars...

Pure speculation in most instances..... Pure B****x in most instances.....

....tell these statements apart :)

I think you're missing the point in motorsport.
If any driver, in any championship, wants to win, he has to give input to those who develop car for him.
How on earth would developer know how the car behaves on the track? How would they know if the driver likes it softer, harder, with more or less downforce etc etc. Sure, developers are the people who come out with a solution but without driver's input they would have no idea where to start.
Have you ever seen "Days of Thunder"? LOL

German GP weather
Early forecast looks like Friday being the best of the three days
with rain coming in late Friday, showers Saturday but looks like it will be clear come racetime Sunday

any predictios for the race?

yer the man who is the fastest :scared2:

seriously tho if lotus get on the game i hope they get up there some were, also gaining respect for paul diresta, and just hope for hes sake hes scooped up at some point by a bigger team.
same for maldnardo

Sky sports are giving non-sky sports customers a weekend of sport for free!!
..and of course that includes the F1 channel. ;)

Not missing the point at all.... just probably not explaining myself properly.

Theres obviously driver input, but that input won't entirely be relied upon when it comes to the development in its entirety, hence why they simulate and do millions of calcs to ascertain an end product, aswell as driver feedback - its a foregone that the driver on any given weekend will set their car up to a massive extent.

What I was alluding to in my comments more specifically, was previous comments about how Hamilton doesn't develop his car as much as Alonso - when in actual fact, none of us who aren't privvy to the team, will actually know

Uh oh DANGEROUS!! these tight a**es might actually see how superior the Sky commentary is to the BBC :lmfao:

True that.. I was worried I'd miss the spark that BBC brought buy tbf I find sky although lacks a little enthusiasm sometimes they do give a lot of information. If but watching them broadcast there first red flagged race was funny.. Thy didn't know who interview or what to talk about next... But I'm glad they kept brindle he knows he's stuff. Don't like murry much but still all good

I miss the craziness of Eddie and the 'lad banter' of the BBC.

Webber 1st. That is all. ) x

Vettel has to be the winner, it is written.

Although I would like a Brit to win it. Just because.

Oh nooo! Webber 5 grid penalty. ;)

Google around m8ty to see why lewis is slated.

Ah so your using google now to follow a herd of haters aye :) still not got that education have you :)

Let's hope he ends up in a Ferrari so that you'll see again who the best driver is :D (even though we know Nando won't allow it haha)

Because Nando is a better driver.

I still dont know realy why i enjoyed that race so much?
maybe it was seeing that rookie driver Massa making that schoolboy error driving into the back of the other car (where was his penalty?) resulting in bodywork all over track and Lewis having a blowout (race over) but was so funny seeing him pass vettel ;) lmao and badgering Alonso.

Again good drive from Alonso, not much to say there.

Vettel receives 20 second penalty? ....imo thats just crazy, moving him back behind Button.. job done!

Vettel: Hamilton 'stupid' to overtake leaders

I guess everyone saw how unhappy Vettel was when Hamilton overtook him thus un-lapping himself? I don't see what was wrong with it?

And get this comment from Vettel re Hamilton
"If he wants to go fast he should drop back and find a gap. It was stupid as he was a lap down"

What a stupid remark that was

dunno bought you but i thought it was hilarious watching this on Sunday :)

Vettel is clearly not applying logic, his thinking is that this is an unseen move, therefore it is wrong - even in the press interview he blamed Hamilton for slowing him down - erm he was FASTER than you!!

well well well

vetel a second of pace and weber down so far. mmmmm hasnt got any thing to do with that dodgy mapping and "switch" you guys has to remove,

any way what the **** is so special about driving a ferrari f1 car. its a f1 car, there almost the same as each other. and for the fact the Ferraris arnt really on top of the game, getting there but a weak start

any how good job to hamilton but i doubt itll stay that way, hope it does but you never know

im not hes past hes game and a complete ******. but then none of them "Really" care if the win they all get paid the same,

if they didnt then coming last in a race every race wouldnt be so good.

any way i dont see the fascination with ferrari. at one point the f1 team preceded the ferrari car its self. but now the cars ferrari are pulling out the factory's far preceded the f1 car, to be honest id expect more considering they are a "super car" manafacter but hey who knows. since cheating Schumacher left ferrari they havent been the same. but for feck sake give massa the boot. what a grumpy old cnut he is, and learn to drive ***

Ferrari has a lot of history in F1, not to mention the desireablility of their road cars. The brand brings in the fans, and for that reason, they get a bigger cut of the prize fund before anyone else on the grid!

Unfortunately with limited time and budgets on development of cars. Ferrari are not as good as Redbull let's say when it comes to developing cars within the timescales and budgets. It was different when manufacturers had unlimited resources to develop their cars. Ferrari had a lot of money available!

see in that respect i think thats unfair

willams, lotus and mclaren have all had more or less the same wins as the ferrari.

never mind i just watch it i dont become a fan boy. the only people i support and hope to do well are the british, being hamilton, button an di resta,

^^^ couldn't have said it better - unless you have some sort of blood tie to another country, why the hell do you support anything BUT British (cant get my head around that).

ANYWAY..... woooop woop good win by Lewis, obviously proving the people wrong that say he can't manage his car, he's a one lap wonder and he's immature - even though it's been many races since he deserved any of those titles.

I just wish that Button would pick up the pace and stop whinging, seems to be all he does nowadays which is unfortunate.

see you all after the break!!

(where's the glory hunter?, bet we don't hear from him)

It's never been fair, but the teams accept this.

At least team GB have a first win under their belt, even though there's no Gold medal. :rockwoot:

Reptor where are you lol

I admire all the F1 drivers maybe a bit biased towards the British drivers but admire all them,I hope Maldonaldo stops playing bumper cars as a good driver is in there am sure.

lol. yer maldanardo does like ramming others, i could have gone and punched him clean in the face when he ramed hammy off the track when he was clearly out of the track bounds, i cant remember if he gone done, but i think he should have been black flagged and 10 place drop or even excluded from the next race
