After 2.5 years of owning an Audi A3 sportback I'm considering the idea of buying an A4 Avant.
The main reason for the change is for extra space both in the cabin and the boot, although I'm wondering from spec sheets I've read just how much extra space there actually is in the cabin? Being. 6'1" I don't give the person sat behind me much leg room in the A3 would this be much different in an A4?
I own the 2.0T s-tronic so my first choice would be the very similar engined A4 either manual or Multitronic, but I'm finding this less common on the used market. The 2.0 diesel 143bhp seems to be the most popular example out there, but I just don't think this would have enough power to what I've been used to. Plus I don't think I do enough miles to justify a diesel over a petrol.
Can people tell me what to be looking out for during my search? Any model year changes that would mean different spec eg. LED rear tail lights?
Im probably looking at a budget of £18k.
Any useful tips or advice would be greatly recieved.
Thanks
Chris
