Found this when swapping wheels,so thinking of getting lowering springs? Don't want to go to low or spoil the ride any suggestions? Or pics?

lowering springs will make the ride harder and wont be as good as coilovers.

but that spring definately need replacing. thats probably why the backs low?

Ha ha dan thanks, really pleased with them :o.k:

Devon Audi I've been looking about and it seems h&r springs might even improve the ride?

If you don't want to go too low and want a decent ride go for some eibach pro springs. Only slightly lowers it but improves the ride quality massively

Blimey, looks almost identical to my sportback!

As Ash has said above, Eibach springs are they way to go, but make sure you go for the 'sportline' rather than the 'pro' kit otherwise you wont notice any difference in the ride height at all.

Sean, as I told you I had Eibach Sportlines on my MK5 GTI, lowered by a noticable amount and ride quality was still pretty good. Now have H&Rs on the S3 and pretty much the same story.

Certainly for the Golf the Eibachs were cheaper than H&R so I'd go with them!

Hi ash,
is that the set up you have?
kinda want it a bit lower as I feel the front is too high but not too low as its a daily driver!
Cheers
Sean

no im going for Eibach sportlines but thats because i want the lower look, the Sline stance is still fairly high for me and the Eibach pro's improve the performance but keep it like 10mm below Sline which isnt enough

Hi dan,
yeh I remembered you saying that they were good on the golf!
Think the eibachs for the a3 are slightly dearer than the h&r?
Ive been surfing all week to try and decide which way to go still no further forward :(

Cheers sean

Ha ha ash,
same here!! I want the lower look but still want it to be useable! Where you getting them from?

Going by the Larkspeed website there is only £5 between the two brands. Was more like £70 when I got springs for the Golf.
