Parking Sensors

Hello All,

I want to get some parking sensors. I would like the OEM Audi ones that link up to the MMI.

I've seen these on eBay:

What do people think? Good price and are they the right items that would fit a 2009 B8?

I would think you need to front too, to work with the MMi as they do come as a pair from the factory.

Price is good but the sound/warning buzzer for mine comes out the stereo and not a buzzer that is shown in that pic.

This company have the proper Audi kits:

They just never got back to me, otherwise I would of went to them when I was down South.

That eBay advert is for the Audi Retrofit Parking Sensors, which aren't anything more than an aftermarket kit. They stick out like a sore thumb and are only wired into the reversing light to power the unit.. you wouldn't get anything on the MMI screen.

For the OPS on the MMI screen you'd need front and rear sensors as well as the compatible module, I can supply and fit if required.. shoot me a PM if interested.

mine come out of the speaker that is at the corner affected by the closeness

Sorry to jump in on this, does anyone know the size of the oem sensor, ie what size hole saw will be required? Ive got replace a grill for a pikey mate, who cant be bothered to source the right grill for his car, after a minor prang. he managed to get a no parking sensor grill for his s line, and now muggins has to figure out the drilling aspect!

At least i'll be getting paid for it lol!

No that was jusy the rear ones mate that are NOT wired into MMI.

That will not be OPS as its £80 a sensor, thats the cheap aftermarket reverse wire type audi do when salesmen left of order which will not display on the head unit unless he's substituting some profit for the costs.

Ash isnt offering a service mate, he's asking about the system/cost & if you mean the mmi based system, not a chance mate, the oem system is not a cheap solution & you would never get it for £255 I'm afraid.

No worries, it can be done but unfortunately isnt that cheap, give me a shout if you want it fitted.
