Just been out and done a data log with vagcom of channel 115, I was in third gear foot to floor then changed to 4th foot to floor but not for long. Just wandering if anyone can tell if its mapped or not from the boost? its a 2001 AMK btw.

best to go to redline.
but its not running standard boost anyway.
whats your airflow like?
and your fueling?
The boost would drop off after 5k though wouldn't it? I didn't log the maf or fuelling, I'll do that next time.

Yes.... :)

<tuffty/>

Ok great, kind of hoped it wasn't actually as then it could of been quicker. But that's a few quid saved!

Yes, but your car aint running correct. Boost leaks or sh@gged actuator ?

What fuel you using?

Hi Nick! told you at inters I was after an S3, finally got one ;)
ive only had it a week and not put fuel in yet as it came with half a tank, apparently it's on been run on v power.
Got 2 fault codes, cylinder 3 misfire and random multiple misfire. Cars booked in to Audi on Monday for the cool pack recall :)

Had the coilpacks changed by Audi yesterday, and i fixed a bit of a leak on the pipe from the charge pipe to DV.
So I was hoping it was fixed and went out a did another data log, in 3rd gear.

still seems to be low on boost, does the air flow look ok?

low on boost and low on airflow.
divide your airflow by 0.8 to get a vague idea of power. you should be seeing 200g/s on a mapped car
possible the maf is dead, but also maybe a boost leak. or maybe they are linked.

I went out and did another run with the DV blanked off as I thought it may of been leaking but got the same low boost. The pcv area is a bit oily but no obvious splits in any pipes.

Had a look at the PCV area today and found this:

I have removed these and blanked off the manifold where they connected, I fitted the check valve inline to the brake servo directly to the port on the end of the manifold.
So, Was hoping that was the lack of boost fixed, went out for a spin and i'm sure its quicker. Did a log though and its still about 0.2 bar below requested pressure although I did get 2320 at one point.
I took the DV apart and it seems ok, not sure what make it is?

I had a forge kit here with the springs/shims etc so Ive fitted the yellow forge spring to it.
