Heavy rain expected for Friday F1 practice

...but looks a lot better for Saturday / Sunday, and if i was going id welcome showers, make for a better race to watch!!

We are camping. So you may see us sail past hammy in our tent :)

I know you will enjoy it Jase. I know im bad, but i want it to be a wet race, way more exciting to watch. :) x

Have a good one Jase!! well jealous matey.....

OH OH just noticed..you're now beating me on post count! :( I'll have to buy another Audi soon lol :)

Cant wait for this weekend, as per everyone else...a nice wet track and Hamilton win would do me just FiiiiiNE and Dandy!

What a nightmare, missed any action on the track as the traffic was awful, rain has stopped and it's blazing sunshine, weren't allowed to park by our pitch so we have all been like a pack mules, walked miles and my arms are hanging off.
Have a beer in my hand and the suns blazing...all is good now.

Have a good time now that you have arrived Jase. Dont forget the rain dance later, im wanting a wet race please. Enjoy. :) x

Well, well, well, Ferrari really became alive again. Even Massa 5th!
Well done Nando and Schumi :)

Watching Louis catch that slide on the last lap shows his skill in the wet. I expect to see him on the podium. And with plenty of yellow flags I think we'll see a stormer from button too. Let's just hope it's not so wet it becomes dangerous.

Look out for me being top of the Fantasy f1 tomorrow. Webber wont let me down. :) x

I'm not really worried about Webber because I think Alonso will stay easily in front of him.
What worries me is that Di Resta is in front of Rosberg. And he might be the one who wins this round for you.
I also count on Hamilton coming back to front and smashing with Webber... which would be very nice for my lead

I think I am going to grow frigging gills after this weekend :)

NANDO OWNED AGAIN!!!

An were was Ramilton? LOL

I think he was excellent but we all now Alonso is a quality driver,as for Hamilton you would have got on well with a few Scottish lads behind me shouting 'gay' every time Lewis went past!

Do you know anything about F1?

Alonso is one of the best F1 drivers around at the mo, and i dont think there's annything wrong with that Ferrari this year as well.
I know for a fact Alonso is one if not the nicest F1 drivers you will ever meet.
What i dont understand if you're a true fan of Alonso why are you posting such dribble trying to make others dislike him?

Im wondering did Alonso lift off in Q2 under waved yellow flags? nooooooway!

IMO he did lift otherwise would be quicker than barely 10th.

I will say the lift off rule is a hard one to call..
one driver gos 10mph slower and the other only gos 5mph slower.. they both lifted!!

only going by what Paul Di Resta said over the radio, he felt he lifted and others didnt around him.

But how he could know that really?
They could barely see 5 meters in front and I doubt he was looking in his mirrors on a hot lap...

Love the sprit. Its muddy wet and genrealy cold but the british have to be the best supporters of f1. Also love how sky are going out in to the crowd and talking to them. But poor button. No one likes him hahaha

It doesn't look much like rain at the moment here in MK. Come on rain bring some action :)

We need some serious rain to fall to make this the perfect race. :) x

Damn you Webber!

Both our second drivers failed today so FF1 will be close :)

You right of course, but i may just have the edge, lol. X

Spooky, you won't reason with him, he's still not got that education i recommended ages ago, its like arguing with a 5 year old about Physics.... on the plus side, he owns plenty of sweaty mechanics T shirts which makes him an F1 fanatic!! well.... if you choose to believe that he doesnt sit there sniffing that sweet smell of BO fantasising about a nice long pit crew gang bang.

Anyway, good race.... Nando did very well given the conditions - wish we could have had rain though as i found it quite boring - really glad Webber won, still not liking the season though... too many other factors contribute to a race win, detracting from what essentially is RACING (or should be).

Roll on the next race.. wonder who'll pick the lucky number out of the hat at that one...

PS. Rep, shame Hamilton doesn't have the same car as Nando eh - that'd be interesting, don't you agree? :)

Race was not brilliant, glad Webber won as but not happy with Maldonaldo (my driver)
I'll post my pics later if I don't drift as am sooo tired camping in mud is not the best.

It was an experience.

I hope you had a good time Voorhees, and i know the race wasnt a classic but you cannot beat being there. :icon_thumright:
Not much to say about the race, think the top drivers fate was sealed from qualifying.
Alonso run a good race didit do anything wrong, just the joke tires beat him in the end.
Nice to see it working out for Webber.

ps.. lmao at animal's post #468

Cool news Spooky. Mark Webber is the man. Love the pic, thanks for sharing with us, sure there is someone who might not like though, lmao. :) x

IMO Perez should join Ferrari instead of Massa. Some fresh air would do them good.

I think Massa is doing well considering the pressure on him, maybe the accident/injury has had an impact on his driving ability or like Button his cars isn't the same as the other driver..maybe.

But the thing about Massa is that he is driving for Ferrari for 6 years now.
First with Schumi, then Raikonnen and now Alonso. So Ferrari cars are good enough for any of them but not for Massa?
I really doubt that he will achieve anything else. He had his chances and it's time to go IMO.

I didn't realise Buttons car was different to Ham's?

set up wise it would be, even down to floor pan designs, front and rear wing design and angles. what brakes you use, one of them use a pad and disc combo that bites hard but you have to push hard. the other likes a progressive feel but lacks the hard bite the other does, so one wighes out the other in pros/cons
same as wings and the way the cars set up. tyre psi. no same driver is alike, even when the same driver comes back to the same track the last settings known to work will be useless sue to track and air conditions, the way the driver works the car and so on,

the thing is, that button used hamiltons identical set up last race, and still didnt do well, i know the rain played a factor, but i didnt see why, button isnt hamilton, and they both drive in very very diffrent ways. ie why hamilton usually comes out on top or close to more so then button. to be honest i think hes past is best and clutching at straws, and personally i think they should hire some one like paul diresta

cheers fella

I think you misunderstand me though - I meant Button hasn't got any less of an opportunity than Hamilton, unless i had missed some news...

yer well you would like to think that but i think they back hammy more. or at least it seems that way. even down to who comes in the pits, and what lap. like few races back they pitted hammy first, but then button fell back 4 places eventually becasue of hes in and out lap. but maybe hes past it now like massa, who knows? maybe the car isnt to his liking, thing is although there the same car at the core, i suppose from a ferrari to a willams to a mclarean is like stepping in/out of a lambo/ferrari/porshe, the right level of spec models will be as quick as each other but all very diffrent to drive, so while button excelled in the brawn he may not feel the best out of the current car. and same is true from one car chassis to the next. last years car they both done well. but then so did the rest of them with blown defussers, so maybe all of them were just so stuck in a rut for 2/3 years with this "driver aid" if you will and none of them can get the balance right, thus diffrent winners in diffrent races. also some luck and fluke thrown in as shown with alnso and maldanado

All F1 drivers want to win, but if you/ your team isn't winning you want to beat your team mate, cos out of the box you have the same car same tools.
Its from there on its down to the driver skills and his feedback to get the best out of the car.

imo JB only excelled in the Brawn and won in 2009, cos Brawn started developing the said car early into the 2008 season and there was so meny rule changes that when the 2009 season started the other teams was that far behind it took half the season to catch up.

If you look at this link, go down to Drivers.. and it shows who came where and when, think it tells you all you need to know, and look at Barrichello his team mate not a bad start to the season too?
