Anyone taken the back pannel off the boot before to get to the wiper motor and rear blade?

The boot panel is a knightmare to remove! I still havent managed to take it off

Nope, haven't fitted it yet - may be off to Club Charleys in Belgium this weekend so I need to crack on with it.

Finally done, this was a task and a half.
The rear trim doesn't come off easily, basicly it is a brute force job and helpful if you've got an audi specialist nearby to give you a hand (Thanks Quattronics ) - there's 3 clips each side, once you've taken them off with force you have to remove them as they'll be left in the boot pannel with pliers.
The motor which connects to the arm was very hard to take apart, the fitment of the plug I bought was absolutely spot on, really happy with the end result.

If you own the car park then you should replace the wheelchair with an outline of the S3 (in white!).
Yes, it's not the 30mm version, I got it with the cleaning fluid and the glue also...if you want it with that you need to select "Klebstoff+ und Reiniger" when ordering.
With the rear wiper removed how to you clear the rear window when you come back to the car after it's been raining and how to you keep the rear screen clear when your driving down a motorway and it's raining.
Personally I find the rear screen wash/wipe an essential piece of equipment, especially as I look in my rear view mirror quite a lot.

I'd have to agree Dave. The rear wiper is essential on any hatchback car. Although perhaps mudflaps help reduce the spray on motorways?
I find using the heated rear screen and regular washing helps too.
Although I agree this is purely a form over function modification and won't be for 99.9% of people.
I also use RainX on the side windows and door mirrors but when I used it on the rear screen on a previous car it didn't work anywhere near as well. Also if I used the rear wiper it made a horrible noise and the blade jumped accross the screen. I've never used it on the front screen.
I had the same problem on the rear screen Dave, wiper seemed to dislike it, though I always use it on the front screen - its bloomin impressive stuff
When you have the front wipers on and put the car into reverse the rear wiper comes on automatically.

After removing the torx screws I've had a go at prising it off but just can't get it free.

There are 6 spring clips holding it on. You need to grab hold of the panel (with the boot lid up) as near to the rear screen as you can and pull very firmly downwards. It seems like you will break something but you won't. Once the first clip is off the just work your way round the lid to release them all.

In case anyone else finds it useful there are actually 8 spring clips, 4 on each side. I managed to get the bottom corner ones off first and then worked my way up each side.
Knowing exactly where they are located makes it easier.
Hopefully this will help someone else.
My only issue now is that I cannot remove the wiper, can't free it from the motor at all. I've left it soaking in some WD40 at the moment but if anyone has any other tips I could try please let me know.

Let it soak in WD at least overnight and wiggle like hell the next day. You will think it'll never come off, but suddenly it'll just pop off!
Thanks Tim, looks like I'm going to have to leave it soaking.
I've even tried un-bolting the wiper motor and knocking the end with a hammer from the outside and it still wont budge.
Just to confirm, once the 13mm bolt is undone it should just lift off?
Yep, it should but it's never that easy! Just persist with the wd and wiggling! Trust me.
Not yet! It's stuck pretty solid.
On holiday at the moment so will tackle it again when I get back.
Any other ideas?

The bolts seize very easily, it's unlikely that soaking in WD40 will help much.
I had issues getting mine off and ended up buying a wiper removal tool. Any local motor factors should have them, they only cost a few pounds. Alternately you could rig something up with a g-clamp
