I need to get a little more from my set up... Vag V Jap !

One for the tuners...
How long ( if booked in ) would it take to tweak a phase 3 map to work with new injectors?
I can get a WMI kit cheap enough as a mate of mine has just removed one from his car,
So it will be injectors + 3 bar reg
Possible Badger 5 Tip
Swap over my front mount for a larger more efficient one...
then a map tweak, Im already on a phase 3 custom map so it shouldbe tweakable.

Mate we need to sort a meet so so you an see my welly fmic and 76mm pipework with fogs, your car would benefit from it tons.

I'm not another Bill idoliser BUT I fitted a B5 TIP today to my REVO stage 1 car with the usual mods and I have to say it has made a night and day difference to throttle response, spool up time and overall acceleration so I would think on a hybrid it would make a HUGE difference! Well worth the cash.....

you are on Custom Code map now yea?
injector scale changes (depending on what CC adjusted previously) is only a few parameters, BUT, their code is port read protected so wont obd port read/flash without intervention
Have you considered asking them (CC) about it?

Yes Bill i have,
If the ****** rain backs off a little im going to see them later.
From a tuning point of view woulod it make more sence to fit the injectors and the TIP and then have the car delivered to the tuner so all mapping can be done to suit car?
Or will the tip be ok after?
WMI wise i think i will fit a bigger intercooler before i go that far down the path.

Injectors and TIP, plus an associated remap should be the priority.

Intercooler and WMI are secondary issues.

The ECU can deal with the IAT's getting too high, it cant deal with running out of fuel!

ignore westy :p Changing injectors and nothing else won't gain you a thing.

Spend your money on Bills new 80mm TIP that's coming out, I got the point of the thread totally.

The answer is, for more power with minimal outlay, a new TIP is the way forward.

Any specs on this new TIP? Just placed an order for the full kit on ebay, so should I maybe wait?

Fully documented mate... the most documented and tested TIP in the business... have a look at the Badger 5 forum in the sponsors section..

do your major mods first... TIP, injectors... and then remap it to suit those
things like wmi you can accomodate with unisettings

Well
Had a strange friday the 13th...
Firstly i checked the fuel pump pick up and replaced the fuel filter.
Then it was time to go to a mates workshop to clean and check the flow of my injectors,
When removing them i noticed one of the O rings on the injector to the rail was slightly mis shaped but on with the testing...
We did a before and after flow check,
The before showed that one of the injectors had at best 1.5 sprays... where the others all had 2 sprays coming from them angles slightly forward and in a V
So we put them in the cleaning tank on the machine and tried them again...The metioned spray patern was much better but not 100%. so we cleaned them again and its about 95% good patern wise but flows bang on the same as the rest.
Now i had to find a new seal... because my car was in bits i used one of the lads cars at the garage ( The ****** Civic turbo that brought this thread about )
To say it was stripped out would be an understatment , Nothing not needed to make it go stop or turn has been thrown. Its a realy quick car but has **** all in the way of comforts.
So the fact i kept with him made me quite happy.
After all this work and fun it was time to road test ... The car feels much better but i will log it today. The plan is bigger injectors just not this month. On the road test i came across the owner of the garage in his "work car" a B18 powered civic with a GT30 turbo mapped to just under 400 bhp...
Well i left him, haha ! AWD wins every time in corners and in the wet.
So yes i need to spend some money BUT not all bad
