I'll definitely be getting some for the SB come payday. I despise that shower every time I move the car after it rained ...i.e: always.

I loved my Heko's and it did help with the morning shower however above 40mph the wind noise was terrible and things like that I can't stand so I took them off. Oh and they don't work with the new style of fold up mirrors.

Hope you enjoy them though bud.

If you had wind noise then they weren't fitted snugly! Mine are fine (sportback).
And they're fine with my 05 folding mirrors...

There was nothing wrong with the fitting on my 3dr, they were a bit too tight and were a b**** to get in. Gotta remember that there is a difference between our cars and as such wind flow across the car will be different.

Mine is a 2012 and fold differently to your mirrors.

fitted mine today, they look great, had them on my old MG ZR TDi and loved them then.

hey guys! just got to work and the wind noise has been DRASTICALLY reduced!

before i fitted them, there was a bit of an air leak or something on my drivers side, but now that has gone!

cant write a review on having the window open with them yet as you are supposed to leave them shut in place for 24 hours!

Glad you sorted it!!

Thought yours might be newer. Had them on my last 3dr sport with great results too!

Had these on my 55plate sportback they dont fit correctly when the mirrors fold in they catch on the deflector also the rears are to small
Wind noise was greater with them fitted also you will find the deflector causes rain water to interfear with the view in the mirrors very annoying!
climair are the ones to buy they actually fit the car!

Mine fit perfect
have reduced wind noise
and restrict water entering the car when its/has been raining

and i dont have fold in mirrors! :D

I love that shower when I am in my suit!! Noooooooooooot!

Although I've been advised that they will adversely affect MY09 folding mirrors, I'm desperate to do something about the morning shower - so I've ordered a set of ClimAir's for my SB ...I'll post whether they're a good fit or not when they arrive.

fitted my ClimAirs earlier and can report they fit well, and they don't impede the operation of MY09 folding mirrors! at the closest point there's a 5mm gap between mirror & deflector ...

I've yet to drive it so haven't tested for wind noise, but I've previously fitted a set of these to my Wife's Polo (for the same reason) and anticipate no issues ...touch wood. :uhm:

linky for the climairs?
i have the team heko ones and the mirrors hit it when the fold and slowly take away the paint in that far corner. not like that is an issue at all but still annoying. i also get almost no wind noise on mine but since i am having new doors fitted i want to test out the climairs and see what they are like to my mirrors.

do they fit any different from the Team HEKO ones? the heko ones came with clips that wouldnt fit in the door on my sportback so i fitted without it and it fits fine. just the mirror issue.

No clips...

The front ones slots in at the lower front near the wing mirror, the back end goes in whilst you 'bend' the deflector & slide it up, finally you 'bend\twist' the centre section under the window seal, into the channel. The rear just slides up & has sticky tape on the outer edge to stop it sliding back down when the window is open.

It takes 10 minutes to do all four.

I don't think I would bother fitting the rear ones. Just don't look right on the sportback, my brother has one of those Nissan quashqai 2+ which look like thy were made to have the Heko ones in there. The a3 just stick out too far for my liking on the rear

...That's true, The rears do 'bulge' more than the fronts (I can see it now they're wet)! I may remove them at some point...

Well done Adam. Nice pics and they look good on the car. I have these myself. NO wind noise with windows shut. With eindow open noise is reduced but turbulence is now almost zero.

Just ordered some HEKO Team (4 piece) for my A3 (2008) Sportback and hope to post some photos of them fitted. As my car is black with blacked out windows it SHOULD look quite good (fingers crossed). Hopefully I will not have any problems fitting them as I do not have folding mirrors BUT you never know.....
Only decided to get these after seeing the photos already posted here and am VERY impressed with the overall look after fitting.

David.

i forgot to add to this thread that i recently (a month ago) picked up the sportback team heko's and although i have the folding mirrors it doesnt seem to bother it this time. it touches slightly when it is folding in but its not as bad as the last set it had.

here is what mine look like

Which ones do you recommend then?
ClimaAir or Heko?

I have team heko. I think they are quite aesthetically pleasing but on motorway driving they can be quite loud. Simple mod though
