Oh snap. Someone else with dolphin grey and chrome mirrors. Still unsure wether or not to keep them. What springs have you got on yours? Or are they 19s?

sorry but those replca alloys are horrible h88, buy my sepang bronze ones as for the chrome mirrors, aluminium ones look fantastic against dolphin grey (i used to have an old dolphin grey a3 )

They are indeed mercedes centre caps but they are also mercedes wheels so they are staying. Glad you like my choice of wheels though, thankyou!

Hi mate my is standard spring with 18 replica alloys )Grey is my favourite as they look very shiny after every wash and there are not many dolphin grey A3 out there as well :

@PH1L I think they look good on the car mate,I paid 700 for them with tyres. To be honest I dont like bronze alloys as they don't go with grey.At first I was going to get S3 mirror housing but they are not shiny as the one I have now. Even though they are cheap but I like the look of it )

but I did sell on my old front end and alloys to help with the conversion costs

I think the merc centers look good although if you haven't seen them before you might consider the Mercedes AMG Affalterbach centercaps, I think the silver ones would look good on your car and wheels.

Yes they're just painted with hypersilver aluminum wheel paint and a clear matt finish. I had been trying to come up with a solution for my grill surround and decided at the last minute to get the mirror covers painted to match. I had my doubts before painting thinking they'd end up looking ghetto and cheap but they turned out looking pretty good and I think the finish is better than the brushed aluminum on darker cars. Up close and in the shade you can tell it's not a metal surface but it does look OEM.

The first two are crappy iPhone pics right after they were sprayed and drying the others I just shot in the shade and still had to underexpose them so the highlights wouldn't blow out completely so they look a little flatter than in person where they have a satin aluminum look.

Good question - I believe this is the standard rode height for the model, it's not been modified (as far as I know!)
