About to go for an exhaust system for my S3.

Before i buy has anyone tried or using the Scorpion exhaust? i want to keep OEM twin tailpipe look so to me looks like the options are either Milltek or Scorpion. Does anyone know of any others?

whats best?

I have a scorpion and it sounds great. They are also cheaper then Milltek and the quality of welds etc that I saw on their stand at inters was 2nd to none. Milltek are very good, well known and maybe easier to get 2nd hand.

scorpion all the way. i think they sound better, there cheaper and performance wise, its just as good as miltek or any other.

I'll post a sound clip up later

I think Jetex do exhuast for the S3 aswell. think they are simular priced to the milteks

When I owned an Escort Cosworth... scorpion were always frowned upon for their restrictiveness. This has put me off them totally.

Not sure whether this still affects turbo'd audi's or not....

mate id go miltek better option and everyone uses it know tested and liked... = safer, reasonable option :)

I've just got a miltek (literally arrived today) which I chose on recommendation.
I have had scorpion systems on my mk2 golfs and had no problem at all with them.
The only one I would personally stay away from are powerflow. I've had one on my s3 and ended up putting standard one back on as I hit sick of it blowing and separating.

Seen the jetex they are about £460 iirc but its an oval shaped tailpipe. Would love to hear ur scorpion cant find a vid of a scorpion s3 anywhere!

Not a s3 but same engine

as you can see this was recorded when petrol was cheaper

The milltek sounds great. In the cold at the moment here, on fast idle warming up, it sounds awesome. Not really heard it out of the car mind you...

Both good got milltek on my s3 and scorpion on my Clio Williams can't fault them at all , scorpion are louder but my Clio is loud anyway love the old raw engines produce such a better sound then modern cars :)

I've fitted the miltek now and very highly recommend it.
Quality is fantastic. Fit is perfect and it sounds awesome.

My miltek is pretty loud. Pops and gargles nicely but it all depends on what other hard wear you have! I have a tubular exhaust manifold into a 3" down pipe with no cat. Also the miltek is non resonated.

Mine came with a BLUE FLAME cat back system and its quiet, Its a few years old now and looks in great condition.

Fitted this exhaust last night and what a system, I have fitted alot of aftermarked systems as I used to work at a local tuner, and All i will say is this is like fitting a oem part straight on lined up perfectly on all brackets and fits into the bumper perfectly, And is't loud at all just sounds like a s3 should I would recommend these to anybody ! I know they are expensive but, Good is not cheap, and cheap is not good !
