Hi, I thought I would start a thread about my recently purchased A3. Having had company cars for the last few years a change of job meant I needed a car. Originally wanted a golf gt-tdi but after looking around they all seemed to be pretty rough. Anyway to cut a long story short my brother found an A3 on the auto trader. We had a look took it for a test and the rest was history.
Anyway the car is an 03 on 147k, came with full service history (most of which is from York Audi), 12 months MOT and 6 months tax. The car has been very well looked after and had no expense spared going by the invoices etc and the interior is immaculate, no way looks like a car thats done the mileage bought it for £2300.
Time for some pictures.
As it was when I bought it.
After reading a few threads on here I decided to start tidying and freshening bits up, starting with the headlights and rear lights. Sanded with various grades of wet and dry before machine polishing.

Then after getting sick of the orange indicator bulbs I went for some silvervision type bulbs.

I then upgraded the number plate lights to led ones. Pic isnt the best but you get the idea.
Next came some new number plates courtesy of Audi, originally wanted some from York Audi to keep them the same as the old ones but they advised they would say JCT600 instead of York Audi so opted against them.

And onto this evening not an update but a well over due detail.

After (by the time I'd finished it was getting dark but you get the idea)
Also gave the engine bay a good once over.

I have done a few more little bits like fitted aero wipers and had new buttons for the key fobs and have some silvervisions for the rears on the way.
As to any real mods I'm looking at a HID kit as the headlights are really poor so any help on which kit to go for would be great however, I dont want them too blue/bright. Also quite happy with the ride height so far but very tempted by a set of JOM coilovers.
Any comments & ideas welcome.
