Yet another idiot on the road..!!

Just came back to my car from work and found this little freak show, as you can imagine i'm wasn't a happy guy. P!ssed off when tw@ts hit and run. Fecking pr!ck, hope who ever did this burn in hell..!! The wheel arch came off worst with the alloy needing a refurb job :(

As you can see in the pics, they have left their territorial urine of a paintwork on it.

I need to check if any camera are installed on this particular road and even turn on for recording, (thanks for the advice, DannyKn9) not sure if the council/police can help, worth asking if any camera footage in the area at the time.
Don't want to go through the insurance since its already high. My question is, do i need a new arch panel or can it be knocked out, what sort of price am i looking at?

Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance.
 
barstuwards hope they get what they have coming dude hate it when people do that , tbh i would have thoguht it would be easier and cheaper to buy a new wing then just have the rest repaired
 
Thanks Fran, were you at GTI international? Could have sworn we (me,Ash (itwasme) and Dannykn9) saw your car near COV/ASN group parking area.
 
Had similar happen to me recently cost me a load of cash, cash meant for a remap.. Absolute ****ers as bad as people breaking into your car if not worse.. People who drive away grrrrr

Since my repair I've seen another two tiny door dents people like that get on my nervous too idiots

what ****, it is repairble but cheeper if you buy a new wing, am sure there are about £60 on ebay.

Since i bought the s3.. i always try to park with cctv overlooking my car

yeah i was there mate i was on the vagowners club stand got invited over to the cov stand so couldnt turn it down could i :)

absolutly gutting for you mate, tbh i think it would pop out however it will need repraying, would be best to get a new wing tbh.
 
That is awful, sorry to hear about that. i really don't know how someone could do that and just drive off, i definitely couldn't! i hope you get it sorted soon mate

Anyone have part number for front right wing? I have S-Line but will S3/Sports wing fit or one size fits all in that year range?
 
Just happened to my girl friend's car this morning as well. But your one is worst,feel sorry for you brother.
 
Sorry to hear this mate, happened to me a few years back and I had to claim my insurance. I'm para about where I park and some idiot still managed to dent the passenger door and wing.

hope the scum bag gets what's coming to them

Mike that looks alot worse then you described it over the phone! I would say easier to get a new wing and replace.
 
not only is this an eejyat... i'm no accident expert but surely you'd notice that before you continued... unless going to fast/music up. sucks dude! goodluck with the cameras.

gutted for ya buddy. a car is usually the second most expensive thing we buy (after a house) & for some w****r to hit & run like this makes my blood boil.

Oh dear, im really unhappy wth your comment Joey. I think that it was rather uncalled for tbh. There are many drivers on the road these days, you cant automatically assume that its a woman, its just as likely to have been a guy. Im going to stop at that just now, im just polite to write what i want to on a public forum

My apologies Sandra, was an idiotic comment. Was an off the cuff remark without much thought. Didnt think it would be taken so seriously

Whoever it is, man or beast i still wanna spit on their grave. If i did that to someone, i'd leave a note on their screen and fess up. Mind you the last person who scrapped my car was a female driver in a black Golf convertible but she politely apologised and paid for the damage.

I was saving up to get all black circles changed in the autumn and full service done inc. cambelt and water pump, guess it will have to be delayed for a while. Instead now i gotta take a few hours off work to get front wing and leave it with the bodyshop then get the wheel refurb. Grrrr..... makes me wanna sell it and buy something else.

My close friend who is a DCI in the police force advise me to report it anyway so its on record even though nothing can be done without a witness coming forward. I did walk about the scene of the incident and found no street cameras for that road :(

Feel for you, they must have realised what they had done.

As for your comment, I kind of agree some women are poor drivers but not all of us. Some guys are too esp the sunday drivers with hats on!!! You never know, it could have been a guy who did the damage whilst being too busy oggling a woman!!!! lol

Anyway, I agree about changing the wing, will get a better finish too.
