GTI International 2012 Photo's

Prawny did well on the handling course though, Facebook says he got the 3rd best time...

Prawns car was epic around the handling course!! I got a passenger ride in it on the last run of the day, holy crap that thing handles, and he's not a bad driver either.. But don't tell him.

Wow, apart from the accident this looks like it was a good event! Will definitely make it next time. Had to be in Leicester for a family event yesterday anyways but no chance of dodging it. Thanks for the pics. Makes me droool lol. #picwhore

Westy the exit point of the Leon was where we where all stood in front of the caddy van at the auto jumble area before we left. Luck.... I think so!!!
Anyways what a great weekend. Seeing the lads again was awesome and had a great time even if most of the night was beer int the left hand, umbrella in the right lol
Westy & Stacey did well on the strip which was good to see the 8l's represent ;)
some amazing motors there ovet the weekend, was well worth the 350 mile commute.

Always great to meet everyone up at these events. Camping was a first and won't be the last! Such a great laugh. Loving the pics guys! I did get a few pics and vids. Will upload when I get to a laptop.

Shame i missed you freddo i think you were scared....:moa:

No mate them times are awesome from a ko4 and i just ran....;) you should be well proud... (no reaction times at inters though) Although it is the same for everyone....

Chris.

Really had a great time and it was great catching up with Westy, JoJo, damo, Steve, Dane and super angry Karl. I met Stacey, Jay, Scott, Reesy, Papa Reese lol, Paul doc, at the camp site and what a great bunch of lads they are made me feel really welcome, we had such a great fun 2 nights rain and shine it was cracking, Thanks guys. Also met Aaron, Tuffty, Dave, Prawny, Aragorn and Bill who I had a good old chat with, great blokes.

Chris.

Good to hear you enjoyed it Chris! The weird discussions we had will be remembered. Always good to meet new people. You got some really good shots of the camping antics. Bring on the next one

Prawn wasn't very successful unfortunately. 6.5ish to 60 then 14.5 quarters due to loads of wheel spin.

Steady on there Fred, I wasn't quite THAT bad! Close though :)

14.21s quarter and 6.02 0-60 - not impressed with the times, and I'm sure the car is capable of more, but drag racing just isn't for me! No corners :(

I'd like to think I pulled at least some credit back on the handling course though :) I SERIOUSLY enjoyed that and felt much more at home!

Really good show all in all, one of the best I've ever been to, met loads of great people, put faces to names I've known for years!

Great to see everyone on the ASN stand, and a MASSIVE thanks to Aaron for all his work on the COV stand! Never felt so welcome in my life! Free food, BBQ, beers, COV number plates for every COV member. Absolutely outstanding :)

Thanks jojo. People have to remember that I have a brand new K04 and a lot of extra hardware attached. This isn't just a bog standard stage 2 car ;)

Just wait till its on larger injectors and has been custom mapped, it can only get faster :racer:

Got to admit that I thought under 14secs was not possible with a K04(hybrids not included), but happy to be proved wrong mate!

+ 1, 2, 3 and 4!

I was absolutely gobsmacked when westy showed me his time sheet! That has to be the result of the year for me, simply amazing!

good pics guys nice to meet the campers of you
crap about the accident scary as i did two of my runs against that leon in the morning

Will add some pics from this later on. Some from a DSLR but most from a phone camera so not sure how they'll come out.

Reesy, who was the guy filming when I did the handling course at the end? I'm sure he said his name was Paul, and I met him at ADI as well. It'd be cool to try and get that footage if possible!

The fella I walked off with? With the greying hair that I look a lot like? That'd be my old man! His name is Paul, and I didn't realise that he had filmed it. I'll get the footage off him tonight mate.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, the lads said it was, but I hadn't realised! that makes sense!

Bigman said that Paul filmed it when I took you out for a blast, if you could get the footage that'd be awesome dude :) thanks very much!

Thanks bud. You should have come over to the (poorly advertised) ASN stand and said hello. I saw your car parked up but didn't see you anywhere. What times did you run?
poorly advertised? I thought we were just playing hide and seek at inters...

Mate I've been in your car I know that it's totaly not built for the strip, wat I else I do know is that it will Nail any s3 round any track all day long
me and don were both saying" I wish I could do that in my car" after a two minute drive with the prawnstar,
good work on the handling course very impressive, wish I could have been there to see it, was just too busy on the stand!

Thanx for your kind words prawn I'm glad you enjoyed your day and you and all the ASN lads are allways welcome

Was a brilliant show. Seen loads of new faces. Finally met you aswel Aaron! Diamond guy! Summed it all up when it was lights out at the campsite and you rock over with this massive boom box blasting hip hop with cans at 2am! Lol

I was busy walking around and watching the sprints :) ......plus when i had a glance over you guys seemed like you were all having a good time with Chez, Karl was getting very intimate

The fastest i got was 0-60 in 6.42secs (1st run) and 14.427 for the 1/4mile but i've never done a 1/4mile before and it's the first time i've launched. I was hoping to go all out on the 3rd and 4th run but the accident on the strip meant i couldn't have another go :(

We also had an epic weekend was COV's 1st inters and trust me we will be there with a bang next year !!!!
thanx to all the ASN lads that came and said hello and had a couple of beers with us!
shame we were separated on the campsite! I hope it's dry next year so we can all be in the large grass area together instead this years layout

Thanx to chez who is now keeping my lil mum company lol

Hope to see you all again @ AITP

Well done to all that helped to put the ASN stand together it was a really good turnout every body new you were there with your awesome cars

Dane I was blown away by your lovely car

I've just been kindly messaged a video of a run with another s3 which i think was day dreaming at this moment in time lol :whistle2:

Audi s3's gti inters - YouTube

Heres a pic of my run times but really struggled to improve on my first launch and think i either need to practice more or just grow some bigger balls with the amount of revs i launch at :)

I was thinking on saturday, how good it would have been if ASN and COV had pitches next to each over.

May be we could have a chat to AITP Man see what we can get sorted out. :)

Yep that was me with the blue wheels. Even took it up the strip against Danes RS4 which was a chuckle. Then took on Jojo but was to busy watching Tropic Thunder to notice the lights and bogged. Plans for next year are Clutch so i can launch a bit harder!

Wheels were epic mate

Thats exactly mine and dons concept
were dying to bring clubs together
this year @ inters proved to me that it's possible and slowly working
i have friends in ASN,SSS,TOTAL VAG,SOUTH MEETS and now CLUB VAG, I didn't have this before COV

I would love for all us to be working together and changing things
I wanna get a clubstand @ a couple of the European shows next year and reeling some of them guys in too

Definately going up the strip next year... (say that every year lol)
