Went away for 10days, left my beloved with premier inn car park service, as was late when got back couldn't see any obvious scratches, got home, woke up and went to check it, saw a few scratches that weren't there before but can be corrected, wife drove to shop then it wouldn't start when she came out, long story short took it to garage and they said
"what have you been doing to this?"
"why" I reply
Gearbox mount shattered and gear selector bracket sheared they say
"not I" I reply "how would this likely to happen" I enquire
"most likely reason is you put the car in N, rev it to the limits, then slam it into D or S"

Now this is something I would never do, so my only conclusion is the airpark service provided at manchester premier inn did this, sorry for long post but wanted to warn others!
Be warned!

I now get a taxi when I fly. Cheaper in the long run.

humm, usually change gets you a good service as they will take couple of quid from each car they move as a bonus

Why don't you try CHF next time just a couple of minutes from Premier Inn, family business with first class service and car is safe.
Have left the Audi with them many times, never had a problem.

Trev

Have you done anything about it??

Got in touch with the company, what are their T&Cs about damage etc??

Their T&C,s cover everything, almost to the point where you/I would be to blame if anything happened!
Just wished I had done my homework beforehand!
Never again!

This happened to my dad. He left his car somewhere while we went away for a week.

We got back and there was a massive scratch up the front bumper!

Safe to say we weren't happy!

Manchester eh?
I always use the Holiday Inn Manchester Hotels - Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts Manchester Airport Hotel in Manchester | Best Price Guarantee or First Night Free
Great self parking on site, transport to and from airport (ten mins away) the park and fly deals are great....one night stay and 14 nights park cost me £90, with not a fu^&%ng mong of a car jockey in site.Stick my car cover on and its game on.
