Caring for a steering wheel

I've recently had a almost new MFSW fitted to my car. It's in perfect condition and I want to keep it that way. Steering wheels get alot of hammer and end up looking worn and tatty around the area that you normally have your hands.

Is there a way to keep my wheel new looking? Im thinking there will be a product but what?

I don't want to use a wheel cover or anything naff like that.

The most important thing here is to keep on top of the interior. Depending on how dirty it becomes you should be able to just wipe it down with as suggested above a damp cloth - if it is dirtier then try some APC (All Purpose Cleaner) to remove the dirt and then wipe over again with a damp clean cloth.

You also might like to consider applying a UV protection and something to keep the leather looking new. Its non-sticky, non-shiny so you can use it on the whole interior... 303 Aerospace

Its also handy to get yourself a small detailing brush and possibly detailing sticks to get in the smaller places

best thing you can do is to use a good protection cream to help protect your leather steering wheel, also in a lot of cases when people see what they think is damage is infact a build up of grease from your hands where you have hold of the wheel for a long time and when your hands are hot they sweat causing moisture to build and then this adds a layer to the leather, in time it looks terrible and like damage when in a lot of cases it can be cleaned off with a good leather cleaner, you want one that is amonia free, amonia is a killer for leather, if unsure just ask, be glad to help.

Cleaning the wheel more often is very important as it gets a lot of high use compared to the seats.
