I've been getting a slight increase in revs when changing gear, say about 500-700 rpm max, usually happens when changing gear on boost.

Is this 'normal'? , is the clutch sensor known for causing this?

The car's had it's clutch replaced in 2009 by Audi and has done 25k miles since.

Car is 225 S3 and hasn't been mapped.

I had this problem a couple of years ago, the clutch pedal sensor was faulty. replaced it and solved the problem.

Same here a new clutch pedal sensor sorted it I think it was like £14 from Audi.

Cheers guy's! Think Audi are getting sick of me the amount of times I'm in there

thanks for that, mines does it randomly. will give this a go

Mine does that too, today I found the plastic stop was missing, little piece of plastic that the clutch switch presses against. Once I'd fitted that VCDS told me the switch was fubar.

Look to see what the switch is pressing against.

TPS have a new switch on order for me for about £10 + VAT.

Does anyone know part number for plastic bit???

Or bump bump, can car run without sensor???

Just got back and it really is annoying. Looks and sounds like I'm granny shifting!
