ASN's Pub

Congrats Sandra! Your always the first to welcome people to the forum, being the nice person you are!
I'm dying to get to the 1k post any tips?

Thanks jay. Mmm tips on how to get to 1k, i think a litte tour of the forum may help you out. Pop down to the entertainment section and share your taste in movies and music. You could also do lots more work on the car and post the uodate threads, lol. Seriously though, it just kinda happens. You should ask Scott and Westy, they got way more than me. Your car is coming on great these day, you are doing a fantastic job. Hope your well Jay. :) x

I'm sure you're fiddling your post count! Its flying up every time I check. I'm getting close to 13K but your 20K will be some milestone :applaus:

Jo is the master of the 'accidental' double post. Many a time I see a duplicate post by him, so really he is only on about 11k!

I'm only upset because I want to buy a derv but insuring it an a modified S3 isn't proving easy! Who are you insured with and can you mirror your NCB across all cars???

Between me and the other half, we have 4 insurance policies, 2 of them are maximum NCB, 3yrs NCB on my Rav4, and Mk2 Golf is on a classic policy(£220 F/C limited to 4k miles).

I can generally service and maintain all my cars myself which saves a packet!

Sorted some insurance this morning.

S3 all mods declared limited to 3K miles a year £545
A4 1.9 tdi, unlimted milage £350

Afternoon - stranger in the house - been like ages since I've been on here. It got too distracting at work so gave it up - cold turkey was awful.

Work and life is fine, daughter is about to get her first mortgage with her fiancée, me and the ex-mrs are going to help with the deposit, so I'll be poor for a while :(

A3 is sick at the moment too, having Turbo boost issues, investigations ongoing. I've posted a thread in the 8P section on that.

How is everyone ?

Paul

Long time no speak.

Same old in here mate. I have recently bought a house myself an i'm really skint. Though I am looking to by an A4 TDI this weekend as running the S3 100 miles a day ain't cheap :(

Good to see you back. Going ASN cold turkey isn't nice. I tried it once and lasted 1 day :)

Ouch 100 miles in an S3 per day must be costing a fortune in Petrol, at least the price has come down recently.

I see you are going for a 1.9TDi good move stay away from the early 2.0 TDi lumps. 1.9 is fairly bullet proof, mainly the usual consumables, though they do have the VNT system on the Turbo so can suffer from sticky vane syndrome. But I guess you have done your research :sm4:

I'm only after a £500 car so I cant expect too much but I do know all about the sticking turbos. 9 times out of 10 a good clean will keep it trouble free for a few months,

Fine thanks Sandra, will be great once I have fixed the car. How are you and yours ?

Good question..Sandra is so busy welcoming everyone that she never seems to chat about her car, I bet she is glad someone actually remembered that she owns one!

I love custard me!!

Hey Scott how's Plymouth these days ?

Nice bowl of custard - but requires a nice dollop of Ice Cream to make a Tracey Island.

Plymouth is ****** windy at the moment mate.
I think a branch is about to fall off the tree in the back.
If it lands on our cars I'll royally annoyed.

I would but our freezer has broken and all the ice cream has melted. :(
