I won an armrest!!.. finally!

Hi ASN.
Another help required post by me.

I finally won an armrest for my s3.
Will one from a '98 A3 fit ok into my facelift '01 S3?.....(i really hope the answers yes)
If so,
The one i won has a grey alcantara lid... Unfortunatly my interiors the half leather/ ivory alcantara, so its going to look balls.
Are the lids replacable?. or re-trimable?

Or am i stuck waiting to buy a leather or cream lid from ebay?.

I want one !! I have seen trim tops for ur arm rest on sale on eBay mate so shouldn't be too hard to change
 
Well done dude there very hard to come by, there is lids on eBay sometimes but you could just get it retrimmed or dye it, what condition is it in.

Not sure yet, ive been watching it for a while... And stuck in a last minute bid.
The pics make it look like very good condition.

Ive seen wrap around covers for the lid on Ebay.
Ages ago there was a cream alcantara lid, which would suit my interior perfectly.
But i'd be tempted to go for a leather lid as it'll get less mucky.

Can anyone confirm it'll fit my s3 being a facelift model?

User itwasntme187 had a leather armrest lid for sale in classifieds, not sure of the colour though. :) x

Nice one, I was keeping an eye on this as the alcantara lid tickled my fancy. I have a black leather lid we could possibly do a deal on or if you want to sell the alcantara lid I'll have it off you if it matches my steering wheel. :)

Pretty sure they are all the same armrest Callum, and they are a great thing on longg motorway runs so well done bagging one on ebay mate.
 
Hopefully they are Nige. Ill have to wait and see.
This was one of the few factory options i always wished my car had.
 
Mate armrest will fit! Funny that these were an option in the Uk. I'm sure these all came standard Down Under. But my top is busted so I'm in the same boat as u guys sourcing a replacement
 
I won my black leather arm rest off eBay for £30 brand new condition with cup holders, but got rid of the cup holders as i didn't like them. I still haven't fitted it yet I must get around to doing it, just thought I'd tell you all. :whistle2:

all you need now is the cupholder to fit in it.... :rock:
 
I have no need for a cup holder, the in dash one is perfect... and passengers can hold their drink.

And my OCD wont let me fit a grey suade one.

Callum, Im sure a car retrimmer could match the leather and retrim it for not a lot of dosh, failing which have you tried Audi for a new lid in cream?
