Bought my new audi the other day, but i want to replace the back box reason im getting this rattling noise when i quickly put my foot down on gas then release it. does this at like 5mph in 2nd gear.

So i thought problem might go away if i just replace the whole back box cause i have no idea what the problem could be.

Maybe Heatshield? Dont know.

It will be going into garage on tuesday but if it comes out still making noise think i will just try a new back box.

But whats the next best back box to put on an audi a3 3.2 i like that deep sort of sound when you slam your foot to the floor.

According to Paddy (member on here and ex 3.2 owner) Remus is a good option.

Have you checked to see if it's just the flapper rattling round? Cheaper than a new exhaust. Neuspeed sound nice, or if you're feeling flush go for a supersprint.

No idea you know if it was the flapper what ever that is lol wouldnt that be flapping all the time, all i know is a quick burst of acceleration at very low speeds it happens.

does supersprint have a nice sound when i slam on the gas

Out of all the exhausts iv heard for the 3.2 a3 none sound as good as a standard r32, I have seen a thread on an American site where they are adding mk 5 r32 exhausts to the a3 and instantly sounds the same as the golf very rassssspy does any one know why? Can the way the gases enter the back box alter the exit sound?

Not all a3 3.2's have the flapper think it's only early 3 doors
Yeah I've seen a few threads with newer 3.2 owners saying they don't have the flapper. Maybe the best bet is to watch video clips on YouTube and see what takes your fancy.

no one recomended a custom exhaust done then by RSR think they changed there name to something else though.
